VLE 1.05: next look into VCO's future

GTA: Vice City - Modifications | @ 08:49 PM CST | By ReGeX + Mex + rappo
We're proud to introduce to all Vice City Online fans the newest installment of VCO Lua Extensions "VLE," version 1.05, created by VCO Project Coordinator Mex! This full-featured VLE release is packed with the gadgets and gizmos which were rendered unavailable in previous version, thus maximizing the strength and power of this well-rounded project.

Version 1.05 is the sixth installment to the series, and is by far the largest in terms of content and functionality. This is the proof of Mex's dedication to VCO and knowledge of Lua: he has completely rewritten the structure of VLE, improving execution and delivery over a period of two months. Mex has also made sure to make as much as possible fully dynamic to the limitations of VCO to allow for smoother compatibility! Some key features implemented in the release include:
  • Full compatibility with Linux servers, given the new configuration options.
  • Easy-to-use and easy-to-set-up functionality compared to previous versions.
  • New preprocessors for creating and executing plugins and game modes wrapped around VLE.
  • Over TWO HUNDRED commands with easy, logical, and documented syntaxes.
  • Crashes due to the timer system have been repaired, thus improving overall server stability.

What would any update be without new paramount commands? VLE 1.05 introduces commands which have been cloaked by our imaginations; check some of them out:
  • /BIND allows users to bind a command to another command, with DYNAMIC parameters! Think of the possibilities.
  • /ADDCMDPREFIX allows users to add AND remove character prefixes for commands.
  • /MARKERCMD binds a specified command to a VLE marker, which automatically executes when a player enters that marker.
So, as you can see, VLE is the "King of the Hill" in regards to VCO - there is only one way to go from here - up! So, what are you waiting for? Head over to GTAGaming's VLE forum topic, the Unofficial VCO Website's forum topic, or even the official VLE site today for more information about downloading!
