Blueprint speculate on Grand Theft Auto V

The guys over at GameTrailers.com have put up another episode of their Blueprint series, which takes games that have been recently announced or games set to come out where little information is known and compares them to how they could take influence on other games that have been released. This episodes game of choice is the eagerly awaited Grand Theft Auto V, and with with nothing more to go off apart from the first trailer and the official announcement, they do what they can to speculate where the series could go.

"Second Shift", a series made with GTA IV

There are lots of Machima directors out there and I'm sure you've all seen many videos created using Grand Theft Auto IV but this one, "Second Shift" by GSE Studio, does a great job of combining a variety of Vehicle Mods, Graphic Mods, Stunt Driving and just flat out Post Editing magic to give it quite a stylised look. The series is dubbed in Polish but is subbed in English, with a few mis-translations here and there but overall nothing to spoil the experience, so if you're a fan of films like The Fast and Furious series, or just want to see a combination of mods on Grand Theft Auto IV used well with a lot of effort put in, this is worth checking out.

Friday Flashback

Friday Flashback going back to GTA2, "All I Wanna Do" by Davidson was originally released early 1999 and is one of the few licenced songs to appear on the radio line up. The song can be heard on multiple stations, including the well know Head Radio, and it stands out for it's recognisable beat which is actually sampled from McFadden & Whitehead's Disco classic "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now".

Friday Flashback

This Sunday marks the fourth year anniversary of Grand Theft Auto IV, released to the world (well, most of it, on consoles) on the 29th of April 2008, it's hard to imagine we would be waiting this long for a full sequel, so as a slight nod to this, this weeks Friday Flashback is a Grand Theft Auto IV special. Hailing in from François K's ElectroChoc mix comes "Waters of Nazareth" by Justice, appearing on their 2008 album "†" the track itself was actually released a good few years earlier as a stand alone single in 2005. The hard Electro sound and increasing layers makes it the perfect track in fast situations such as one of Brucie's races or just in a general police chase around Liberty City.

Friday Flashback

Friday Flashback running late this week, so we'll look at Vice City Stories to help, from Paradise FM we have "Lost In Music (Special 1984 Nile Rodgers Mix)" by Sister Sledge. Rather than opting for the original 1979 Album Version, Rockstar instead went for the popular 1984 remix version of the song which also matches the year the game is based in, the remix version of the song is featured on the CD re-release of the album "We Are Family" as the closing bonus track.

Friday Flashback

Friday Flashback coming from Liberty City Stories this week, not only was this song featured on the playlist of The Liberty Jam 101.3 but it was also backing music for the Second Official Trailer for the game. "Shook Ones (Part II)" by Mobb Deep from his 1995 album "The Infamous" is the choice of song this week. The track, which is hailed as an East Coast Hip-Hop Classic, was an easy choice for DJ Clue to include when he made his mix for the in-game radio station.
