1UP and IGN Keep it Coming

GTA: LCS - General News | @ 09:29 PM CST | By rappo
A new article regarding GTA: LCS has been posted at 1UP.com. The new article contains basic information about the game including the control scheme, vehicle handling, and the aiming system. 1UP actually got a chance to play the game (on a PSP development kit, though), so their review is fairly justified. Although not much new information is given, there are six new screenshots available for your viewing pleasure. However, the only new information I could find in the article pertained to load times:
We should note that our playtime was done on a PSP development kit, making it difficult to judge the load times properly, but Rockstar tells us there will be a 20 second load when you start up the game, a 12-14 second load when you switch between the three islands in the game, and a couple seconds when you enter and exit buildings. Essentially, a few pauses now and then but nothing that should disrupt gameplay in the least.

These load times seem pretty long to me, but I'm not familliar with the default load times most PSP games face. I suppose for the calibur of the game, the load times shouldn't be too hard to withstand!

As for the IGN article, the main discussion is on the first several missions you will be facing as Toni. If you're not into spoilers, I suggest you don't check it out, but you can peruise the new screenshots throughout the article, ignoring the text. However, some of them are repeats from 1UP.

Big thanks to Asif for the news submission!

Also, I just wanted to point out that Zidane and I have done a little LCS vehicles page revamp. Check it out!

Well, 12-14 seconds is long as HELL, but considering the graphics like ash said, thats pretty damned good. I mean it's still quite a wait, but hey, the graphics are crazy cool. As for the 20 second load time in the beginning, I expected it to be somewhere around there.

Graphics doesn't matter to me. But doing a mission that takes between islands and waiting for that island to load, well that takes the fun away. For example: cases.

I *know* that the mission where you go to Staunton Island you will not see a loading screen, since for that mission Staunton is Pre-Loaded, and when you cross, erm, ill try and not spoil it, but when u cross a point where a loading screen will be triggered, it will be a cutscene during this mission.

If you can't fly helicopters, I'm guessing you can't fly the plane.
