GTA: LCS - General News | @ 02:27 PM MDT | By Kodo
James Burt has provided Neil from some new details on Liberty City Stories. The information comes from the October issue of the Australian Official PlayStation 2 Magazine. There are no new screenshots in the preview, but there is an interesting detail that conflicts with other sources and is sure to spawn all sorts of rumors!
  • A brand new character will appear in the game. Vincenzo Cilli is an ill tempered, high ranking mob boss working for the Leone family and he'll be giving you missions at the start of the game.
  • The Porter Tunnel (which connected all three islands in GTAIII) is not in this game. Part of the plot involves striking ferry workers, angry that plans to build the tunnel may put them out of a job.
  • Two further radio stations are confirmed: Chatterbox FM and a new station called "The Liberty Jam". (A few weeks ago, another magazine also confirmed Head Radio, Lips 106 and Double Cleff FM for the game.)
  • The magazine is defiant that the game map will be expanded in some way. They say that "a mystery land mass" can be seen from Portland Island, although this detail has not been covered by any other magazine, even those which received the same demonstration from Rockstar.

Yeah I was hoping there would be no tunnel, because it only opened in the GTA3 plot.

ferries will be cool plus you still have the bridges, new characters and bikes. The official website launched tonight! I knew it would happen this weekend, right after their financial report on wednesday... check out the trailer, so sweet!
