Polaski mentioned in VC

GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 12:12 AM MDT | By Zidane
Jay Cagatay has noticed that the name 'Polaski' is mentioned by Ken Rosenberg after being busted. Here's what Jay's message said:
Hi, I'm a regular visitor but as usual, first time contributor. I was looking through the Vice City audio folder and found something very interesting.

In Ken Rosenberg's pleas for Vercetti to get out of jail, he states "Get Sargent Polaski down here that fat chump owes me a favour!"

Which can be heard in this file.

The exact same crooked cop Polaski that now works in the S.A. Police Department and framed CJ?

Yeah. I just thought you might find those interesting and wondered if anybody else spotted any more clues towards the next GTA installment being SA?

Great find Jay, very observent!

Awesome. And I haven't once heard Ken say that. I have heard everything but that.

Has anyone actually heard it in the game?

Another post sorry.. Someone listen to Police.mp3 -- I'm sure something interesting is in that 30min audioclip, even though it has cuts throughout it. - Also, I will most likely find it before hand, but for the next potential looker, whats the file with Polaski in it? A filename would help for us who already own the game.

Also, if you remember in the BJ Smith segment of K-Chat, a guy rings up and asks him how he played a game against San Andreas with two broken legs and then he goes on about the method he used in that game against "SA"

Another thing, that sounds a lot more like an agitated Tommy and not Rosenberg.

Hmm, then again maybe not, just listened to Rosenbergs voice and I guess it's him... I'm still pretty damn sure he says Polanski though.

I thought that too. But listen to other words Ken says. Like, '...has his nose so far up most of Vice City's ass...' when he says ass, he says it like 'ayyss'. Plus it's too similar, if it is the reference or not. Remember, they've been planning SA stuff about the end development for VC, so they probably just threw in hints and stuff for fun.

I guess I shouldn't say flat out that it isn't a reference because it can be heard either way.

I doubt it's coincidence but it could just be someone else.... If it's a reference, I sure there will be some mentioning in San Andreas that he spent time working in Vice City, if it is infact Eddie Polaski that Rosenberg is talking about.

Hey guys it's Jay, i found this while listenin to Rosenberg's pleas for Vercetti's innocence just by curiousity.

I thought it sounded like Polanski at first too, but I guess it's up to the accent to determine who it is.

Whoever was talking about BJ Smith's SA reference, I put that in my message as well! But it wasn't used. I guess I was being too broad.

No matter, San Andreas is going be AWESOME. :)

Obviously it isn't clear, as we're having a large debate about whether it is or it is not.

Why do you people keep referring to them as hints when at the time Vice City was out they wouldn't necessarily have been. You wouldn't have thought anything of them at the time and some of the things, like Polaski/Polanski have no past ties to San Andreas for you to recognize, right? So they aren't hints. Maybe connections slipped in for consistency/atmospheric GTA universe things or maybe references slipped in late in development of VC and early in development of SA to make things connect smoothly but it's not like this is some big 'find the clues' thing that almost everyone seems to be making out to be. Congrats on noticing shit like this, but still...

Oh and just to clear things up, to me, very clearly, sounds like:

"Polaski".....I'm not hearing "Polanski"

If it were "Polanski", Ken would probably, judging by the way he talks in other pleas, would put more emphesis on the "n".

It's simply an easter egg and a great observation. The GTA games are full of easter eggs.

Hi, it's the guy who did post #7 about the BJ Smith thing, one other strange coincidence is on VCPR, in the public safety section. John F Hickory (the hick/redneck guy) says that he has an Orange Grove tattooed on his groin. And of course you all know CJ's gang is called the Orange Grove Families. This is almost definatly not a connection/clue/easter egg but is still an interesting piece of useless info! :)

P.S Sup Jay!

It's Polanski and this was brought up along time ago, kinda naive to call this the first time this has been discovered when it has been discovered and debunked.
