Rockstar Games working with the PlayStation Vita

GTAGaming.com - Rockstar/Take2 News | @ 07:55 AM MDT | By Ash_735
With a new confirmed name and price recently announced at Sony's E3 Press Conference yesterday, The PlayStation Vita has shown quite a lot of promise for what it can do. Even though Sony only showed off a small portion of games during the main show, they later released details of what developers are officially working on the platform, one of which includes Rockstar Games.

This wouldn't be the first time Rockstar Games have worked with Sony on a portable platform, during the original PlayStation Portable run, Rockstar Leeds managed to release the best selling PlayStation Portable Game outside of Japan which was of course Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, following that a mere year later was the huge selling Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, both these games have remained PlayStation exclusive titles only being later released on the PlayStation 2.

The PlayStation Portable also received a port of the popular Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars at a later date.

So with this being our first confirmed details of Rockstar Games working on the Playstation Vita, what exactly can we expect and what are you hoping for?

I expect it to be like GTA IV,graphics-wise since it is still in the IV era,I expect it to be a serious story, although seeing the bigger success of TBOGT which was more a fun story with a happy ending I can see them go for a bit lighter story involving fun characters and friendly ones, alongside some darker and cynical characters like Bulgarin,Dimitri,Darko. I hope they don't improve the graphics too much because then they won't pay as much attention to gameplay and map detail. I hope they add windshield wipers when it rains, more realistic pedestrian crashes,no crazy ambulance drivers,jet-pack,planes(don't care if the map is too small),ENTERABLE airport,yacht,jets-skis,gambling(Hopefully in LV in SA),San Andreas map re-furbished for a 2013 atmosphere, better cell phones, better internet(think a Youtube-Style site, players can look at other players movies),better Las Venturas(Think Stratosphere, newer casino hotels),a better Vinewood(red carpet scripted events, random person in suit walks down red carpet into limo and drives off while peds do camera or clapping animation)Re-worked Area 69,NEW VEHICLES!!,Character Customization,Car Pimping/Tuning,new TV shows,MORE wepaon slots!,I also have an idea for a song to re-record and replace the city name with "L.S"(Los Santos)it's called "Everyone Is Someone In L.A" and they could easily re-record it and replace it with L.S like they did with songs on The Beat 102.7 making it say Liberty City or L.C,it could be the intro song for GTA V also,if it opens up in Los Santos,or end credits it would be good http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfoXa5nOhl0

Based on what we already know about it, with the power that it is packing, the Vita would have no problem running a game the size of San Andreas. San Andreas Stories, anyone?

I haven't really looked up what has been said on the Vita since it was called the NGP, but apparently it can run PS3 games just fine (at least some games). Plus it has a lower resolution than HDTV's, so that cuts out some of the work for it.

What I would like to see is GTAV released on PS3 and Vita, with interchangeable save files. Ideally, paying for one copy of the game, but I doubt that would happen. Anyway, it would be nice to take GTA on the road, and not have to play the same missions again.

I don't want 4 again, but San Andreas stories would also be cool. I wonder if they'd update the graphics and gameplay though?
