All quiet on the GTA front - Rockstar/Take2 News | @ 01:30 PM MDT | By Neil
As Rockstar Games continues to focus on other titles, Grand Theft Auto news remains very scarce.

Parent company Take-Two Interactive has made no secret that it is looking to reduce its dependency on the GTA series for income - and its plans appear to be paying off. Rockstar Games has seen huge success with Red Dead Redemption, while sister label 2K Games is getting ready to launch Mafia II, its next big release following Bioshock 2.

Edinburgh-based Rockstar North are known to be hard at work on the PS3 exclusive Agent, while a new Max Payne title and the mysterious L.A. Noire are also far into their development cycles.

Notably however, the iPad version of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars promised for release in June has still not made an appearance. Technical issues or problems with Apple's notoriously difficult certification process may be delaying the release of what many believed would be a straightforward port.

Does this means we will be seeing less and less titles of GTA until it's over?

@Hizzy321: You might like Max Payne 3 then, they've ditched everything that was good about the game and turned it into some generic bland Third Person Shooter.

Pfft, Max Payne 1 and 2 sucked, gamers of today eh, no taste!

No news? Damn them. Look, I'm real glad they're branching out. Good for them. I can't for the life of me figure out why they would basically ignore the series and the fans that put them on the map.

I want a new GTA. Good as GTA4, CTW and the DLC is, it's not like getting a brand spanking new GTA for the big consoles. Not even close. There's interesting things in all the games they make, but I'd love to see all their good ideas harnessed into a GTA game.

Yeah, all of them related to the main release. Not really new in a sense of experience.
