iPad version of Chinatown Wars arriving this month

GTA: Chinatown Wars - General News | @ 01:15 PM MDT | By Neil
Aside from the promising financial results and staggering Grand Theft Auto IV sales figures revealed yesterday, Take 2 also had one other piece of news that will be of interest to Grand Theft Auto fans.

CEO Ben Feder revealed that a new version of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is in development for iPad and will be released later this month. The new version is being developed specifically for Apple's tablet computer, which has sold over 2 million units since it was introduced a few weeks ago.

Following the release of the original Nintendo DS version, Chinatown Wars moved to PSP and then to iPhone and iPod touch. The new iPad version is likely to be the best looking to date thanks to the tablet's 1024x768 native resolution.

This Nintendo DS exclusive has been whored out enough, as decent as it was, it wasn't exactly great! They just have to accept the low sales and let Rockstar Leeds MOVE ON to something else rather than porting this average GTA game to every single device.

Personally it's one of my favourite GTAs. I have it on DS, PSP, and iPhone, and personally the PSP version is the best, though I spent most of my time playing it on the DS. The iPhone version I never played because I just don't like gaming on the iPhone, but I did try it on the iPad and that was interesting. It'd be cool to see what they do to make it iPad specific, like HD graphics, etc.

Yeah and when it fails to sell well on the iPad, they can then port it to Android OS, and when it fails on that, port it to Sony Mobile Phones, after all, Rockstar Leeds don't need to do any other game, they can just port and re-release CTW as many times until it finally sells well, It's weird to think that both LCS and VCS have been started and finished including ports in less time than they have spent on CTW, and personally, they were much better GTA games.
