MAY 07
A Gift From Above - General News | @ 07:56 PM MDT | By Zidane
A lot of you remember that big Rockstar Games fansite event last month. Every fansite owner who went just received copies of Episodes from Liberty City for both PC, and PlayStation 3. I haven't been able to try the PC version yet, but I'm currently addicted to the PlayStation 3 version. I can also be found free-roaming online... if anyone out there ever wants to play Episodes from Liberty City online, my PSN user name is "CaseyGTA". If we manage to get a GTAGaming EFLC online event set up, screenshots will be taken and videos will be made available to all in an event recap page on the site.

Sounds cool? You bet it does!

Thanks, Rockstar!

Oh, by the way... Red Dead Redemption, the "GTA Western" is almost out! Hope you pre-ordered. We've played it, and can say you're going to love it :)

Awesome, you get a trip to NYC, you get to play RDR early, and you get 2 free copies of EFLC? Lucky!

If you do plan to do the event, though, be sure to make a news post or something; I'll join in :D

I'm all for this RDR game. Sounds great and amazing. I've preordered it and I'm very much looking forward to shooting up some bad guys in that game. Even though it looks and sounds awesome, what I really want is a new GTA. And I hope R* will make a story worth repeating for the next one. The story in GTA4 was bad. Same with TLAD. In the GTA4 cannon, only TBOGT had a decent storyline. And that was only decent. Bring on a rags to riches story again. That's what I hope for.

Oh yeah. I forgot... Regarding GTA4 and the two downloads: Is it me or did Rockstar inspire themselves by the PS2 cannon games? The story of Niko kindda reminds me of Claude in GTA3. The story of Johnny, with the gang theme, is a bit like GTA: SA, and the story of Luis, with all the glitz and glimmer, is a tad like GTA: VC. Does it seem plausible that they intentionally did those stories and themes a bit like the PS2 GTAs, and thus will be able to do a completely new city and story like, so far, unseen in the GTA universe? I hope so. Would be great with something new instead of doing the PS1 cities for the umpteenth time over.

Posts: 6 should do an Xbox 360 event. And say the week after that do one for the PS3 and then one for PC. Just a thought.

@RollingStones: I wouldn't say the story of IV and TLAD was bad, more like not what gamers wanted, Rockstar took a serious turn to show how life in crime affects the protagonist in their world instead of the usual massacre everyone and run away rich. Also saying TLAD is like San Andreas just because it has gangs is like saying Burnout and Mafia are similar because they both have Cars! :P

@marcus129: Hey, I've said plenty of times I'd be up for some GTAG sort of event similar to the Rockstar ones but low key, I think it could only be done on PC and PS3 though, since Xbox requires a Gold Subscription for Multiplayer. We could use our normal GamerTags but then things would get awkward with the friend limit and such.

Red Dead Redemtion is going to be the biggest game Rockstar have made so far, and is probarly going to be it for some time too maybe even until the 4D generation gameconsoles comes out :D
(Not 3D, cause it`s not such a big improvisation from normal)
Just hopes it sells more than CoD MW2, cause i didnt deserve the credit and copies sold as it did!
