Liberty City awash with drugs in Chinatown Wars

GTA: Chinatown Wars - General News | @ 08:04 AM MDT | By Neil
British gaming bible EDGE is the first European magazine to publish a preview of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. While it's only just arriving with subscribers today, the magazine has published some details about the game on its website. Notably, word is given that there will be a full drug dealing minigame to get to grips with:
"Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will have a complete drug dealing minigame, which will allow players to peddle six types of drugs around the city. Players will make a profit by recognizing market conditions and demands based on geography and plying their wares accordingly."
The issue also includes an interview with Dan Houser from Rockstar Games, who mentions that the title will be for mature audiences and that Nintendo is pleased about how it's turning out.

Cool News, I am amazed that Nintendo have Went down this Path. They normal do family Games only. This is a turning point for Nintendo and it seems to work in both favours Nintendo and Rockstar. To get a silce of both sides Nintendos Masive family base and Rockstar's Massive adult base.

I know where this is from, the PSP Version of Miami Vice, where you done drug deals on the side to gain cash and criminal respect, the menu looks identical. You bought drugs off main dealers and found areas on the map where they were in high demand so you could sell them for profit.

So Rockstar stole ideas from a game company that stole ideas from Rockstar. BRILLIANT!

And I won't be using an R4 card for this DS game!

I wonder if this will get past the Australian censors. There are plenty of games with drug references that were allowed but Fallout had to change morphine to some fake name. I think they only have a problem if drugs are used for a positive effect though, selling may not count.
