Episodic content coming this fall

Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 03:39 PM MDT | By Slim Trashman
Microsoft has issued a statement at the Leipzig Games Convention that the first of two downloadable episodes for GTA IV is still coming and scheduled for release this autumn (fall).
"In autumn there will be news from Liberty City; the first episodes of GTA IV will be available for download exclusively on Xbox LIVE, underlining Xbox 360's leadership role in the field of digital entertainment."

No other details were provided, but hopefully we will learn more in these coming months.

I heard rumors that the DLC is a timed exclusive. I hope that's true. It would be in R* best interest as multiplatform = More money

Loyalty is nothing but a few more 0's these days.

I wouldn't hold out hope, but I would say it's only a matter of time. If the Xbox can get Final Fantasy, I no longer think "exclusive" means anything.

And, Edit: Can't wait to see what's in it, obviously!

Leadership role? All having the DLC means is you're willing to dish out $50 million for something we don't even need

When has exclusive ever meant anything with Rockstar? Like the stories series exclusive to PSP, it got ported. And the GTA series was originally PlayStation exclusive, but was later ported to Xbox. It seems like this time around, just because numbers are actually displayed ($50 million) people seem to think "Oh it's definitely exclusive this time, it won't be timed". What if Sony told the world how much they paid for GTA's PlayStation exclusivity? For all we know it could have been $50 million.

I've said it before, but I personally do not believe Rockstar is the type of company that lets money control them 100%. They don't want to leave out half (hell maybe 75% since GTA was PS exclusive for such a long time) of their userbase.

First one to say I'm excited about the news. =]

I'm hoping for the story to continue with the open ending that GTAIV left.

Also: Optik, your Sony fanboyism is showing.

Ha, some people today are so arrogant. "We're number one in console sales...", "Our system is 100x better then anything out today...". Just give it up and stick to what's important, you've said BS about your product 1000 times already, we get it.

...doesn't really mean they're the leading in anything. Just means they have more money to fritter away.
