Few people collect Hot Coffee compensation

GTA: San Andreas - General News | @ 01:39 AM MDT | By victim
Last year, Take-Two offered to reimburse anybody who felt strongly over the sexual content that was left within San Andreas and thus agreed to pay a sum amount of $5-35 to any individual that purchased the game and felt the content was abusive of the ESRB's rating system.

Today, it was confirmed that only 2,676 have claimed Take-Two's offer proving that only a small minority of people cared about the content.
Theodore Frank, director of the Legal Center for the Public Interest at the American Enterprise Institute, believes that the lack of claimants proves that the case was meritless from the beginning. He submits that this lack of response proves that the plaintiffs claims were overblown, and as a consequence the suit may be deemed meritless and the lawyers who tried the case will not be able to collect their $1.3 million in legal fees they are demanding from Take-Two.

It is currently unknown whether it comes down to people not caring about the content or nobody actually being bothered to produce a receipt for their refund.

sounds like the government officials are trying to make the game sound much worse then it really is...with it being a GTA title

The only people that really cared about the hidden content didn't actually buy the game. Those 2676 people probably don't even care about the content, they just filled out a form for easy money with no regard for Rockstar.

It's amazing how much flack R* has taken from a feature of a game that was deliberately disabled and could only be opened by modifying the game, which you've got to know that these types of things even existed and have a general idea of how the mods work in the first place.

I agree with the previous comments here, to start of, to get this "feature" you must, enable it, thats like suing a movie because someone made a spoof about it that had some very bad things in it. But since its a spoof with no rating, you see where im going?, i must have the worst example but i just woke up at 6pm -_-...

As well those 2500 people obviously don't care about the game, because if u like the game you wouldn't give two shits and a stick about some "hot coffee" modification, most people have enough of a "life" to not even get that mod because perhaps they have a better sexual stability and humour stability, unlike other people who get of on video game characters who dont even have private parts, being in sex positions and making fake orgasm noises..

someone else finish this one for me .... i got bored, i cant imagine how rockstar feels about this, their probably spiting sunflower seeds in court.

I think so many people chose not to take the money because they're the people who don't want Rockstar to lose money. And yeah, the people who took it are just looking for easy money and don't care who it comes from.

$20 says those who actually did it could care less about it being too offensive. They just wanted "quick cash".
