Rockstar speaks openly about GTA IV delay

Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 05:29 PM MDT | By Neil

Jeronimo Barrera is President of Product Development at Rockstar Games in New York. He recently sat down and spoke with MTV and spoke openly about the delay that Grand Theft Auto IV suffered:
"It's really no surprise to anybody that the PS3 was definitely a contributing factor to that. Now, we're neck and neck. That's not an issue anymore. But back then that was something we were taking into account. That's not to say there's anything wrong with the PS3 version. It's awesome. They're both identical."

Barrera also believes that the delay the game suffered makes it "stronger" and offered confirmation that the Xbox 360 version of the game will not require a hard drive as has been rumored for some time. MTV also revealed that cheat codes will again make an appearance:
"For gamers who only want to cause havoc, the game will offer that and the standard amount of weapon-unlock cheat codes."

Those hoping for a free trial of the game before or even after release may be disappointed. Barrera says that at Rockstar games, "we usually don't do demo".

I am a PS3 owner and I'm still a bit edgy about the PS3 version.

One way Rockstar can comfort me is in one of the media gatherings, have it run on the PS3 instead of X360.

Well either way I'm getting it but I'm not as care free as I should be about buying GTA4 at the moment.
I'm sure reviews from 1UP will confirm my fears of how the PS3 version sucks ass (as according to 1UP, everything on PS3 sucks).
