IGN: SA Special Edition DVD Review

GTA: San Andreas - General News | @ 08:26 PM MDT | By rappo
As most of you probably know, the latest Special Edition of San Andreas was packed with it's own DVD containing the GTA mini-movie "The Introduction" and the Rockstar documentary "Sunday Driver". This IGN article goes over the highs and lows of the DVD and also gives a small description about "Sunday Driver", the documentary that follows members of Compton's "Majestics" low-riding club. Here's how the scoring of the DVD went:
The Movie - 6/10
Sunday Driver is an intriguing look at low-riding, but The Introduction is for fans only.
The Video - 3/10
Low-quality video on both segments.
The Audio - 7/10
Decent VO for The Introduction and a good mix for Sunday Driver
The Extras - 5/10
Outtakes and extra clips from Sunday Driver and a trailer for Liberty City Stories.
OVERALL - 5/10

As you can tell, IGN did not seem to think much of it! Check out the whole review here. Thanks for the news, Neil.

One of these days Joe Public is going to get wise to Rockstar's complacency. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

"The Video - 3/10"
I Agree with this, I've had the Introduction DVD since i got the 2 CD Soundtrack, and the Video is cheaply done, it has a Low Bit-rate, and is Widescreen Locked Into a 4:3 frame meaning that you still have the Black Bars even when watching on a Widescreen TV, which is very annoying.
The Overall Introduction is on worse then PS2 Graphics IMO, making the video seem "fuzzy" during bright moments like The Desert.
Also, i think the Audio could of been Better, since it is just a plain Video they could of taken some time to at least make it in 5.1 surround sound rather then standard stereo since they had enough space.
The whole Introduction DVD is roughly 1.3GB so they had plenty of space for improvement.

The "Specail Edition DVD" wasn't as good as many of you thought it would be. The only good thing about it was the Audio 7/10.
