That sounds like it would be a lot of fun working for R*. Think about it, if you worked for them now you would probably be put to work on helping with early developement of GTA4. I think that would be pretty cool.

Xeroer would have the best shot at this position. But he's like 15 or 16 right? And he doesn't live near there as far as I know.

Testing is the best place to start. Or be exceptional at the game. For instance: The guy who heads Madden now got his job because he was really really good at the game. EA contacted him and offered him a job...now he runs the show.

This gives me hope.

I'm not sure if its distant work or not.. A few companies have programmers that rarely ever goto the offices.. Everything is just done online.

I may look into it.

Well, yeah, and pretty much out of all of those, they think working for RockstarNorth is a walk in the park.. I rather wait for the game than work for them just to see it a few months/years earlier.
Which is of course, why the developers get paid. Those who know how to program or know what they need to, to get the job, know that they wouldn't be doing it for the sake of getting a early look..
E.g. a box moving around a white ground.. (possibly I took that to a little extreme), but you all get the picture.

In the February edition of Electronic Gaming Monthly you canfind an interesting thing about working in the videogame industries. More info. page 59. Try to get the magazine and read it or check if you can find it on www.1up.com

Now there is a great chance of the next Hrand Theft Auto Game (supposed to be cllaed Grand Theft Auto: 4) to be in Edhinsburg or something like that, or to make it better, in complete Scotland. When I way to make it better I mean to make it bigger. I'm from Puerto Rico.

I don' mean to offend anyone when i say this but the chances of anyone on this board getting any kind of design job there is slim to none. The boys who work there are seriously skilled and only the best will do. If you were that good then you wouldn't be on these boards. But whoever gets any of those jobs will work like a bitch but when the end product is that good....
