PS2 TXD Viewer

GTA: San Andreas - Modifications | @ 03:34 PM MDT | By rappo
This program enables you to view the textures inside .txd files of the games Grand Theft Auto III, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas for the PS2.

  • 4 and 8 bit textures and alpha channels are supported
  • Textures can be exported as 8bit bitmaps (.bmp), as compressed JPEG
files (best quality) or as 32bit Targa bitmaps (.tga)
  • Enable alpha brightening to get real alpha values (i.e. for use with
    GTA3 PC)
  • Disable the texture filter to view the 4bit textures of GTA3 PS2 (they
    are not encoded)

Download it here - 230 Kb

if you've got a DVD burner or something you might be able to mod the game. i think!

NOTE: I said i think. don't sue me if something goes wrong :P

or you can extract some targa's to make some VC mods.

I believe to mod the game you need a mod chip in your PS2. It sounds easy when you think about it but the cost of a DVD burner and a mod chip plus the skill required to mod the game is too much for a lot of people. Besides, nobody else (unless they also have a DVD burner and mod chip) would be able to use your mods that you have worked so hard on.

rappo: That idea will work aslong as your PS2 can play burnt discs, it has to have a mod-chip for it to be able to.
