Brady Games - Official GTASA Guide

GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 02:31 PM CST | By Zidane
Gamestop is now accepting preorders for the Official Strategy Guide for Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. The book, (published by BradyGames and written by Tim Bogenn) will retail for $15.99. The release date is slated for October 1st, yet as we all know, the game itself isn't released for a further eighteen days. It's likely that the release date of the guide will change before then.

Quite frequently guide books are released before the actual game. Like the Final Fanatsy series for example.

So that means that they'll be shots in the guide before the game is out?

Not just pics, it will have everything in it. A big fat spoiler is what it is. You should'nt buy it just for information and screenshots.

18 days before the game comes out?? thats cool i guess

The cool thing is that rockstar is going to be pressured into releasing info if not everyone will just get their info from the book

That's dumb if you buy it and look at it. If you do buy it, dont look at it, it will only ruin the game, which is just plain dumb

Well a lot of game stores offer a deal where you get the game and then they give you a discount on the guide. So I'm going to take advantage of that and buy both at once (because I already know I"m going to need it!)

the thrill of gta is about exploring perhaps more than any other game (including ones about explorers) cheats and walk throughs can be both fun and helpfull but they have there place but not only can they ruin the game most of the stuff in them can be found on the net for free and in much greater detail just minus them perty pictures plus the last time somebody offerd me the deal on the guide + game i nearly beat him to within an inch of his life
because his only selling point was that it came with a colour map and a really big a55hole any in many other ways

Eighteen days before the official release? That's the problem with Brady Games. They write the guide for the game while it's still in the beta version, and a lot of things change by the time the actual game is released. That's why the VC guide is so crappy.

I only bought the VC strategy guide for the Hidden Package map and the rampages listings. Other than that, I didn't read the actual things. I just like looking at the lists of cars and stuff they have.

When VC was about to be released, the guide came out one week before. That's why Jeremy was on the boards at IGN answering people's questions from after he played the game.

He also gave out a lot of information, but nothing to actually spoil the game, as the guides will do.
