Hmm. LOUD FM. Sounds like that's LS' new metal station. Hope the music selection is up to par.

The latest images are giving me perspective on how modern the in game world really is. Maybe its set a few years in the future (idk)

call me crazy, but if you check out the pest control artwork again, if you look at the panel on the open door of the van, I think we are seeing a rough draft of the map of Los Santos and surrounding areas. I checked it against the trailer and it doesn't match, the panel is plain in the trailer but not in the artwork. Looks like the mountains are in the north the city below, and a few towns and thing dotted round the edges. Even if im wrong, im happy to finely be excited about the release.

@BlackSilver65 because of little things. all the smartphones, female cops(don't ask), the design of the ak47s in the other poster. they just scream "3-4 years in the future to me" Also, although GTA 4 was set in 2008 (I think) GTA 3 was set a couple years in the future, as was GTA 2 and I think they might go back to that lol

@haitianKNIVES GTAIII was not set in the future, it was released in October 2001 and set in October 2001. GTA2 is a tough one, some parts are kind of futuristic and some are not, it never really had a date set to it they just made it look cool, the radio hosts still spoke about the millennium coming suggesting it was set the same time frame as it was released, but other things suggested anywhere up to about 15 years in the future so who knows.

I dont think V is set in the future, it'll be set in Spring/Summer 2013. Smartphones are very common place these days, as are female police officers, vehicles that we've seen are based on current models, and any weapons we've seen all appear normal to me.
