Retro City Rampage out tomorrow! - General News | @ 02:55 PM MDT | By Ash_735
Here's a project we've been looking back on for a long time, Originally announced as Grand Theftendo way back in 2004, this is a Grand Theft Auto III tribute that has gone on and evolved way beyond that! Taking influences from other games of the 8-bit era as well as modern games, Retro City Rampage is a pretty packed game full of jokes, references and gameplay styles to keep you busy for hours, perfect for filling in those waiting gaps between Grand Theft Auto V news.

Retro City Rampage is finally launching October 9th on PS3 and PS
Vita in North America and on PC / Steam / GOG worldwide. The
European PS3 and PS Vita releases will follow later this month,
with the other platforms 99.9% ready to go and to follow ASAP.

I made the decision to release the game on each platform as soon
as it's through certification rather than delay it any further in
an attempt to achieve an absolutely simultaneous launch. I'm just
one man doing everything!

this looks like a must have. I thought the last time you guys posted it that it was done, that must've been a year ago! I will definately try to get my PS3 to hold a connection long enough to...*gulp* update that bullshit, just so I can try to download this. Why does online have to be so hard only for my PS3?

I remember this being posted as GrandThefTendo back when I was a lurker.

I was actually pretty pumped and kept checking back up on it every year or so until, after a while, I assumed it was dead and would never be released.

Cool to see that I was wrong.

More than wrong, actually. This looks boss as fuck.

I just picked this up a few days ago. It's way too much fun.

And while not quite to the level of Nintendo hard, it's not easy.
