Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Trailer

GTA: Vice City - General News | @ 02:18 PM MDT | By Kodo
Lately, I've been thinking about where the next Grand Theft Auto game will be located and desperately wishing it will revisit Vice City. Not only does it make sense as a formula, since GTA IV revisited Liberty City from GTA 3, but because Vice City was such a unique experience it would resonate well with fans. The location and culture of the game created a legacy full of excitement and community. This very website was started almost 10 years ago in the spring of 2002 leading up to the launch of GTA: Vice City. Back then we were called Vice City Resource, and I give props to our original fans who remember us and have been loyal to us as we've changed and grown over the years.

Now as we are almost 10 years older, I wanted to let us pause and take a moment to look back on what made Vice City such a memorable game. I created this Vice City trailer to capture the essence of the game and incite nostalgia within you, as well as portray the city in a fresh way. Perhaps it will give us a glimpse of what to experience if Rockstar decides to go back to Vice City in the next GTA. If you still have the game lying around, I highly encourage and inspire you to play it again. I had a lot of fun making this trailer and I hope you enjoy watching it. Please share your feedback on the trailer or some of your favorite Vice City memories in the comments below!

I have to say, playing MTA:VC 0.3 was my favorite experience with the game. The story was amazing along with everything else about it.

I honestly have to say I've got it laying around and am playing it every now and then. It looks a bit old and I really have to try hard getting back into these damn controls again but I don't give a fuck... Such a great game. I don't know what else to write...

God I hope they go back to Vice City with all SA's and 4's advancements. And still be in the 80's

I have a copy of Vice city on the xbox, graphically much better than the PC version and the PS2. Though the PS2 version is probably more sound than those other two.

I play VC every week for about half an hour every few days.

I think some sort of VC setting for the new GTA would be great. I didn't like the new generation release of Liberty city. I haven't played it at all.

I think people need to remember that Rockstar said they only revisited Liberty City because they felt they didn't do New York justice in III like they did for Miami and California in VC and SA respectively. That said I would love a GTA IV in Vice City.

Has it really been ten years? Wow... Rappo do you remember me? I was one of the guys that spammed the comment boxes here so much that you guys made it a requirement to be logged in to comment. xD Years ago. around the time there was hype for San Andreas.

I remember being so excited for this game and loving every minute of playing it.

My favorite memories were:

The introduction of new vehicles (bikes, planes, helis)
The vast amount of melee weapons (screwdrivers and chainsaws!)
The new heavy weapons (flamethrower and gatling gun!!)
And because I'm a fan of it's real life counterpart... the Deluxo.

I hope the next game does revisit Vice City. In that sense, I hope they make it more true to the layout of Miami as GTAIV did with the layout of NYC. I also hope they bring back what I mentioned about. I want GTA to be more vast and have gameplay much like Vice and SA where it could be so wacky and fun.

I'd love a Vice City revisit, although I think that the game will be based in LA due to rumors and also due to the economy.

They''ve already done an extensive amount of research, etc.

Although my dream is for them to do a southwest GTA that's Vegas, Arizona, Texas, and Mexico.
