The Ballad of Gay Tony coming this fall

Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 03:03 PM MDT | By Neil
Rockstar Games just announced the second downloadable episode for GTA IV will be called The Ballad of Gay Tony and will be available this fall. The add-on is priced the same as The Lost and Damned at $19.99 or 1600 Microsoft Points.

"As Luis Lopez, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (aka "Gay Tony"), players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price."
In addition, the company also announced that both The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony will release on a compilation disc which will not require the original game to play. Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City will cost approximately the same amount as buying the two episodes separately.

Both episodes are exclusive to Xbox 360. The company has announced no plans whatsoever to bring them to any other platform.

It's the last link of the story, Luis works for Gay Tony, gay Tony owns a couple of Night Clubs, Gay Tony is close with the Ancelotti's, who are close with the Albanians. We know the clubs are failing and this Diamond deal was his make or break chance. And of course, we all know about those Diamonds.

Plus Luis is pretty tough as seen in Museum Piece/Collectors Item, and in the mission "Diamonds in the Rough" on The Lost and Damned, Luis manages to evade and then kill a couple of Bikers that Johnny sends after him.

An addition you can find from other news sources... according to Sam Houser "expect a focus on the high end night-life."

Does anyone else think that they should instead just focus on a new GTA preferably set in a different city?

Looks alright, just hope they do more than with Lost and Damned. I mean it was awesome, but I was expecting more than a handful of missions, a few songs and weapons.

Did anyone notice that the "IV" is missing from the title, I looked at the Lost logo and that was "Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned", yet it aint here. Probably a mistake but hey lol

Lets just hope they bring some planes to this one

Blood and a Four-leaf clover sounds even ten times better.

I think Rockstar should stop making add-ons to Gta 4 and make an entirely new Gta that is way more realistic than all Gta's combined. You know something where us gamers can go into any building or anywhere and were not limited to one city either. I'm not saying it could be done in a month but i beat the story missions in Gta4 and that game has really gone stale after that. Don't get me wrong Rockstar games kick ass but after you've finished it then there is really no reason to play the game anymore.

i know this has nothing to do with the ballad of gay tony or watever but i've seen previews of Gta Chinatown wars and it looks pretty bad i mean topdown Gta? SERIOUSLY?!?! why did rockstar bring that back. I mean i know that game is for DS or watever but why not make one for Xbox 360 or PS3?

So far, I don't like it. Sorry. Maybe it's just the way the title is set up.

Not homophobic either. Don't like the name, don't like the rainbow font. It's not GTA.

@dokujitsu: I remember similar comments for Vice City "What Pink Font in GTA?" "Pink as the main colour?" "Colours have gone overboard", etc yet they perfectly fitted in with the game.

The DLC seems to be an odd matter, I've seen people who refuse to buy The Lost and Damned because they think TLAD promotes Racism and is all about a Penis on screen all the time. Same thing here, people see the name and font and think something else.

@riniks92: Multiple reasons, Microsoft paid for Xbox Exclusivity, Microsoft Money funded the development of these episodes, the PC sales were utter dire compared to both the console versions and possibly the usual piracy fears, why make DLC when some guy will crack it and pass it around GTA websites, at least DLC piracy on consoles is a very rough system to get around and considered not worth the trouble.

edit: Oh and it was announced months before GTA IV even came out that Xbox would be recieveing two exclusive episodic content for the game. So you can't really moan that you wern't informed as the deal was made clear, just appears some people have a very selective memory and seem shocked that it's still exclusive to the 360.

i dont regret buying to for PS3, like i said with the lost and the damned, there are too many other games commin out. i dont need to play extra missions for a game that ive beat 100% i prefer the random extra shit in game play over extra missions any day. GTA SA kept me occupied for days because of all the random stupid stuff you could do, they took alot of that out with GTA4.

@PS3gtaGAMER: Read above for the reason.

Luis is NOT GAY, Luis is straight, Gay Tony is Gay However and you'll be working for him, but Luis, the person you play as is straight as revealed in The Lost and Damned.
