The Special Edition is £30 more expensive in the UK, which works out at around US$60.

£30 more expensive in the UK! Wow, that's 75% extra above the standard is it not? I know I paid £40 for the standard from the UK anyway. I just checked and here it's 25% extra for the Special Edition. Odd.

Well I think the lockbox, duffel bag, art book and cd more than make up for the extra $20 bucks or whatever, Halo 3 just came with a big gawdy MC helmet you couldn't really do anything with.

Is this really the real Special Edition. I know that stores get demo copies. And I have friends at Gamestop who showed me when it came in and it had a similar package and wrapping. But who knows, you never know these days. I would love to just see one page inside the art book. Hehehe. Why cannot we have a Saturday release??? Hehehe. Can't wait to pick up my 2 special editions.

Yeah, it looks too official in me eyes. Getting two copies. One to open, one to keep closed and eventually sell on eBay. I know, sounds sleazy. But, my guy at Gamestop hit me up with info that preorders are necessary to getting Special Editions and that it might not be stocked normally. But I am out of work, and have some money on the games from when I was working, so time for a little extra money to come in.

halo was a joke all around... the first one was the best.. after that.. it just went to crap.. and that helmet hahaha wow i wouldnt pay how much was it? 120 bucks? terrible.. the metal case for the 2nd one i think it was was kinda neat but thats it.. i think that case scratched the disk if im not mistaken too lol but yeah.. rockstar knows how to make a special editon.. look at bully for example.. they put a beachball in there.. at least we can use the stuff they put in with these games haha R*

Wow.. Those guys have a great amount of luck. They can play the game before 29 april! How cool is that?
But I think that the special edition except you have the music of the game, it's waste of money..
With San Andreas came an exclusive intro movie..

Thing is... In my opinion
Game = must have amazing couldn't live without it!
Soundtrack = nice touch, funny, useful and entertaining - well done rockstar !
Artwork = interesting, might look at it once or twice before stacking it on the shelf
Lock box = ermmm what do i keep in this?
Bag = I love GTA and think rockstar are revolutionary but i don't know whether i'd want a bag to show that off tbh
Special edition is alright.... but i'd only use the soundtrack...

The only thing I see as worth something in the Special Edition (besides the actual game) is the soundtrack.
Other than that, it's a waste. I'm just going to get the regular edition and be euphoric.

the only difference between either system ive heard is the color values, like how vibrant colors are and such.. sooooo idrc what ppl say about which system will be better. theyll be the same cept for the values :)

Even though its not much more, i'd rather spend my £20 extra on the DLCs when they come out. Everything (except the game) in that packs is useless tatt that will do nothing but take up space and gather dust. If R* had done it well they would offer ingame exlcusives with it.
What the hell does this have to do with Halo though thugskater?

I already have my Special Edition for the Xbox 360 pre-ordered and am planning to wait all day monday at Gamestop until it comes out. I only paid $98.31 for the SE at Gamestop. They have a deal that if you pre-order and have trade in games, you get a small discount.

Heh. I have a source in Chinatown (NYC) that confirms they might be releasing their shipment at the end of the week. I asked the guy and he told me to check back at the end of the week. I know there is a lot of speculation and joke topics. I'd release details but, A. I expect it to be an epic fail, and B. I don't want to expose a place. All I know, I have been checking out stores in Downtown Manhattan and seems like shipments are getting to stores. It's bound one of the non-chains will break with street date. However, I have accepted the fact I won't be lucky and it will fail. I never get lucky with getting a game early; with an exception of SSBB in the morning in Chinatown.
