MARBrian Provinciano looks back on Vice City
GTA: Vice City - General News | @ 04:00 PM MDT | By Ash_735
Considering we recently looked back at Grand Theftendo and Retro City Rampage in this article, it appears other websites have also picked up on this and have gone on to question Brian Provinciano, one of those websites being Giant Bomb, who have asked him what his favorite game is, and his answer, well it's Grand Theft Auto: Vice City!
GB: Why is Vice City your favorite video game? What makes it stand above everything else?
Provinciano: Maybe it was the right game at the right time, but it evokes such great memories. While I love Super Mario and Tetris and so many others, the game mixed with its soundtrack and tone was just right. There's so much you can do, and you get great feedback satisfaction playing it, doing insane stunts and so forth. It really is the less is more, because while San Andreas expanded the world so much, and GTA IV expanded the detail, Vice City is still my favorite. It's funny though because everyone tells me to pick up Saints Row and that I'll love it, but I just haven't had the time. I played the first half hour of SR3 but need to play more to see if it can stack up.

MARRUMOUR: 2K Czech helping with Grand Theft Auto V?
Grand Theft Auto V - General News | @ 03:00 PM MDT | By Ash_735
Only a rumour for now folks, but apparently the 2K Czech studio is helping Rockstar with Grand Theft Auto V according to a "source" of the VG24/7 website:
A source told us the Czech studio has been working on the game for almost a year, putting its cinematic expertise to work in producing animations for cutscenes and general gameplay.
For an example of their work, check out the cutscene from the popular Mafia II in the below video:
MARRUMOUR: Vice City Nights coming to the Vita?
GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 09:40 AM MDT | By Ash_735
Another day, another rumour, todays weapon of choice appears to be a leaked listing for a PlayStation Vita game titled "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Nights" on the PLAY.com website, along with other big name titles that have also not yet been announced.
We revealed back in June that Rockstar are working with the Playstation Vita, so could this be the project that they started back then?
GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 09:00 AM MDT | By Ash_735
OK, so just to confirm, there has been a lot of rumours and "news" floating around about Grand Theft Auto recently, we've even pointed some out below, but just to let you guys know it has now been confirmed both of those articles are indeed fake. 2K has responded that they are not working with Rockstar Games on any projects and Vice City Nights (along with a few of the other games in that image) were fakes created by a user from 4chan and submitted to most major gaming websites.
The latest rumour going around is that apparently the MCV website has listed Grand Theft Auto V as having an Autumn 2012 release, again, this is just a rumour and obviously the article mentioned has vanished from the website, so this one has just about as much credit as the previous two.
We do find it quite funny how we've got this far without any "fake" news and then we get three rumours at once, which shows people want more information, but alas Rockstar have confirmed that we will not be getting anymore Grand Theft Auto V news until Max Payne 3 has been released (which we are also excited for by the way!), so we just have to wait for a while and distract ourselves with news about mods and other Grand Theft Auto related media.
So, what other crazy rumours have you guys heard about lately?
GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 12:15 PM MDT | By Ash_735
In light of the rumours surrounding a game called Vice City Nights which turned out to be fake, this weeks Friday Flashback is looking into the Vice City Stories soundtrack, a game that was released for a Sony Portable platform. The Cure's "A Forest" is our choice this week, which was originally released in 1980 (incorrectly labeled as 1987 by VEVO) was the bands only single from their second album "Seventeen Seconds", being one of the very early videos done by the band, they haven't yet displayed their well known goth look, a style which they still use today. This song appeared on the Vice City Stories rendition of Wave 103, where one of the DJ's (Adam First) looks and style was heavily based on the style used by the lead singer of The Cure, Robert Smith.
