APRRockstar goes big with mural... again!
GTA: Chinatown Wars - General News | @ 03:25 PM MDT | By rappo
You may remember before Grand Theft Auto IV's release, we reported on a massive artwork mural found in Downtown Los Angeles. It seems like Rockstar Games is at it again with the "larger than life" advertising - this time for GTA: Chinatown Wars.
The same building that featured the GTA IV mural is now home to three towering paintings of previously seen Chinatown Wars artwork, pictured to the right. Another view of the mural is available here.
For those in the area that are interested in seeing it, the mural is located on the south side of the Hotel Figueroa, located at 939 S. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA.
APRMr Wong's Laundromat can make you money too
GTA: Chinatown Wars - General News | @ 06:08 PM MDT | By Neil
If you're a regular visitor to the Rockstar Games Social Club, you've probably noticed the little teaser images promoting Mr. Wong's Laundromat, a feature which is still said to be "coming soon" to the site. Until today, what it was remained a mystery.
However, MTV's Steven Totilo has uncovered a description of precisely what it's going to be, and it's probably not what you were expecting. Apparently, the site will be getting a new Flash game which you can play to generate cash which can then be spent in GTA: Chinatown Wars.
The description comes from a (now removed) page about the Gamespy technology powering the feature:
"Once at the Rockstar Social Club, registered users can also play Flash games like Mr Wong’s Laundromat to unlock additional cash that can be spent back in the game. GameSpy’s custom work links money earned out of game straight back into your in-game funds to spend on bigger guns and more ammo (and you can never have enough of that)."PlanetGTA, the fansite operated by Gamespy's parent company IGN, is also unusually devoid of details about potential new Social Club features. When the new online game will launch is still unknown.
