2009 Nudity featured in The Lost and Damned
Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 02:17 PM CST | By Slim Trashman
UPDATE: 1UP.com has a video up of the entire cutscene. If you wish, you may watch it by clicking here.
That's right. According to Kotaku, The Lost and Damned will contain "full frontal (male) nudity" in one of the game's cutscenes. Their article continues to state that there is "no lack of homosexual innuendo" in the episode and that it is surprising to see Rockstar go this far. If you would like any further, specific detail on the cutscene, feel free to read the article here.
While Grand Theft Auto IV's mature (M) rating from the ESRB included the "partial nudity" descriptor, The Lost and Damned has taken it one step further, earning the full out "nudity" descriptor. The last time Grand Theft Auto held the "Nudity" descriptor in its rating was during the hot coffee scandal when GTA: San Andreas was temporarily re-rated to Adults Only (AO) in 2005, however the mature rating for The Lost and Damned still stands.
The full listing of descriptors for GTA IV: The Lost and Damned can be found via the ESRB website.
Thanks Kwanza for the news.

2009 Chicago Tribune interviews Dan Houser
Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 06:27 PM CST | By Slim Trashman
Major newspaper, the Chicago Tribune, spent three hours interviewing one of the masterminds behind the Grand Theft Auto series: Rockstar Games' vice president of creativity, Dan Houser.
You can read the first part of the article here. Please note that this portion is only from the first 20 minutes of the interview, and there is much follow tomorrow and the succeeding days, so stay tuned for rest!
2009 GTA HQ interviews "The Majestic" director
Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 04:39 AM CST | By rappo
If you haven't heard about "The Majestic," one of the longest and most professional videos created in Grand Theft Auto IV, then you owe it to yourself to check it out in high definition below:
The folks at GTA HQ were able to interview the director of "The Majestic" and find out how he was able to coordinate such a lengthy story as well as ask about the tricks of the trade.
Prior to each scene, I would storyboard everything on a piece of paper. I cant draw so I basically just wrote everything down line by line on what exactly needed to happen. I drove around online in freemode looking for spots on the map that I found interesting and I marked them down on the map provided with the game (in pencil). When you have as many actors as were needed to create this film, 1 second of disorganization leads to a complete implosion, and the whole day of filming is ruined.
If you're interested in making movies with the GTA IV Video Editor or would just like a behind the scenes look at a fine piece of machinima, read the interview here.
2009 ZModeler update contains GTA IV import filter
Grand Theft Auto IV - Community News | @ 02:22 PM CST | By rappo
Oleg's release of the latest version of ZModeler, the 3D-modeling program that revolutionized the Grand Theft Auto modding world years ago, includes a filter to import .WFT files, the filetype used by GTA IV vehicle models.
The downside is you'll need a registered version of ZModeler to use it, and that'll run you about $60 USD. For the serious modders out there, it's most likely worth the investment so if you're looking to mess around with GTA IV car models, this is your chance!
Although there is not yet a .WFT export tool (meaning you can't yet create GTA IV car mods), this import filter will allow you to take the car models and use them as you please. Simply extract the .WFT files from Spark IV or OpenIV, import them into a registered copy of ZModeler, and change the models as you see fit! For instance, one member of the ZModeler Forum decided to export from ZModeler as DFF and use the Infernus in GTA: San Andreas. The import filter is a huge step forward, and we can probably expect to see full vehicle modding support in the near future!
Thanks to behzad_sol for the news!
