JUNSA-MP Under Attack
GTA: San Andreas - Community News | @ 11:10 PM CST | By Koolio
Apparently San Andreas MultiPlayer is under attack, and the owners have posted the following message:
A group called Zytronics headed by former developer Jacob is now trying to destroy SA-MP, they are threatening us with releasing the SA-MP source code along with our private encryption keys which would cause a security risk for all SA-MP clients and servers.
This is a serious situation. We are under blackmail threats right now that if we don't allow him to release the client source, he'll release the server source. He is using made up information to back up the release of the source code.
You can view the whole post at the official SA-MP website. We urge you to help them in anyway you can!

JUNBoredom setting in with GTA IV players?
Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 12:46 PM CST | By Neil
The great thing about today's games consoles is that they're connected to the internet from the moment you turn them on. Microsoft actively collects data from each console connected to Xbox Live such as what games are being played and how long for.
Every week the company releases a shard of information via one of its staffers, Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb. The interesting revelation this week is that GTA IV is no longer the most played game on Xbox Live, bucking a trend which has lasted since the game's release. It seems that players aren't dedicating as much of their time to GTA as they were in previous weeks.
The game has lost out to two of the console's biggest titles - Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3, both of which are known for their extensive online options.
Are you still playing GTA IV? Let us know in the comments!
JUNLCPD faces allegations of incompetance, brutality
Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 09:55 PM CST | By Slim Trashman
Parody news website, The Onion, has put up a hilarious article regarding the citizens of Liberty City, whom are concerned the LCPD have not performed to their satisfaction to prevent "car chases, ongoing gun battles, and overall atmosphere of violence that pervade the area."
Many blame the LCPD directly for the increase in criminal activity, citing the department's lax procedure for arresting criminals, which involves taking 10 percent of the suspect's money, confiscating his weapons, and simply releasing him from custody later that day. Outraged citizens say this is not enough, especially in a city where assault rifles can be found on factory roofs and grenade caches are located under the globe at the old World's Fair site.
Perhaps even more alarming, city records indicate that more than 75 percent of perpetrators in mass-murder or vehicular-manslaughter cases escape, usually by simple methods such as driving into a car-repainting facility. Criminals have even eluded pursuit by walking into their apartment and going to bed for six hours, after which the search has been called off.

JUNGrand Theft Auto IV downloadable content delayed
Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 02:09 PM CST | By Neil
It was today announced that "in order to provide a better balance in Take-Two's release schedule" the first episodic content for Grand Theft Auto IV will now no longer arrive until the first quarter of the company's Fiscal 2009 year. In real terms, this means that you should now be expecting exclusive Xbox 360 content between November 1st 2008 and January 31st 2009.
The company also announced that Grand Theft Auto IV has sold approximately 8.5 million units since its release on April 29th.

JUNGTA IV DLC still on track for fall 2008
Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 07:13 PM CST | By ash_735
Over at CVG it seems Microsoft has informed them that the downloadable content for Grand Theft Auto IV is still on track for fall 2008 despite Take-Two’s recent claims. What Microsoft said can be summed up in one sentence which will put many peoples mind to rest about how long they will be waiting for some DLC content:
"The first of the Xbox 360 exclusive "Grand Theft Auto IV" episodes will be available beginning fall 2008,"
JUNThe Naked Gun intro remade in GTA IV
Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 10:21 PM CST | By rappo
Much like Brotha's recreations of the GTA IV trailers in San Andreas, GamesRadar content editor Justin Towell has made his own little spoof remake this time using GTA IV. Here's the video, a recreation of the introduction from the movie The Naked Gun (if you haven't seen the original version, GamesRadar has it embedded in their article):
While I'm showing off some GTA IV videos, I'd also like to share with everybody this GTA IV stunt video. It's been circulating around the GTA community for a while now, but just in case you missed it be sure to check it out!
Big thanks to cyrix for pointing out the videos!
