Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 03:48 PM CST | By ash_735
With the recent news about DJ Green Lantern's "Liberty City Invasion" album, it appears that the official Grand Theft Auto IV website had a little update in the music section. The More Soundtrack Releases section has been updated to display the two new albums:
The formerly mentioned "Liberty City Invasion" and "Vladivostok FM" are now up on the website to check out. Liberty City Invasion includes a special four minute sample of what can be heard on the album along with information about its May 20th release. Vladivostok FM contains the track list on the soundtrack and information on where it can be purchased, US readers can purchase it from Amazon whilst UK readers can grab it from iTunes.
MAYGTA Snapmap: plot points on every GTA map!
GTAGaming.com - Community News | @ 04:37 PM CST | By Kodo
We know what it's like trying to describe specific locations in GTA 4 for someone in the forums. Have you wondered if there were an easier way to do this?
PatrickW wondered, too, and came up with GTA Snapmap. It's an easy and free system which is a map that allows for pinpointing locations in GTA IV. Once you are done creating the coordinates, you can share the map with someone by a link or as BBcode.
GTA Snapmap can be found at http://snapmap.wikigta.org where users can create an unlimited amount of maps.
MAYNiko Bellic voice actor unhappy with pay
Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 09:02 AM CST | By Neil
In the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV, you can unlock an achievement for collecting $500,000 in the game. That sort of money would be a dream for Michael Hollick though, who's saddened by the amount of money he's been paid by Rockstar for providing the voice of Niko Bellic.
Apparently, since taking on the job in 2006, Hollick has been paid around $100,000 for his work and with it being a video game, there are no performance related payments or royalties in sight. Hollick blames his union for not having proper practices in place when dealing with game voices, but he claims that it's "tough" seeing the game pulling in hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue without getting a cut.
The news comes in the week following a Wall Street Journal report that Take Two paid $84m in royalties in 2005. The "bulk of funds" were paid to Sam Houser and other Rockstar executives, the newspaper claims.
MAYOfficial GTA IV site's music section finally complete!
Grand Theft Auto IV - Rockstar/Take2 News | @ 01:52 PM CST | By rappo
We were all wondering when it would happen, and now the time has come! Rockstar Games has updated the music section of the official GTA IV site to include a complete look at the in-game radio.
There isn't any new information with this update, seeing as the game is out and we all know the radio station names. But, it's nice to see digital versions of each logo now, producing a very colorful music section. Also as before, each radio station has its own widget, which you can include on your own website or blog to show off your favorite GTA IV station.
We'll also be updating our own GTA IV Soundtrack and Radio page with the new information later today.
Big thanks to Josh1988 for informing us about the update

MAYWhat was cut from the Australian version of GTA IV?
Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 05:10 AM CST | By Neil
It's no secret that the version of GTA IV on sale in Australia and New Zealand is different to the game on sale in the rest of the world. Cuts had to be made to the game to ensure it was suitable for the highest rating that a video game can be given in Australia, MA15+. PalGN has now revealed full details on exactly what is missing from that version of the game.
"According to Mick, when players pick up a prostitute in the Australian version, there is no way to select a 'service' from the prostitute. The sexual intercourse sex animation has also been completely removed, so players will only see the car bounce from a locked rear-view. In the uncut version, after selecting a service from the prostitute, players can rotate the camera to see the prostitute's actions."Australians are also missing out on the dynamic blood effects that other players will see in the game. There are no pools of blood, bloody footprints or tyre tracks in the censored version.

Many people who purchased the Special Edition of Grand Theft Auto IV will know about the safe deposit box that comes with the package. Now this can be used to store many things (I store all Rockstar related stuff and gig tickets in the thing), but Mark Harris has had a different idea: he transformed the safe deposit box into a working personal computer!
He has posted pictures and an explanation on his website.
