2008 First GTA IV in-game shots!
Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 06:51 PM CST | By ash_735
Well out of nowhere we have our first in game images of GTA IV, courtesy of the latest issue of ZOO! magazine.
Notice there is not much to be seen on the HUD - this is because the HUD has been confirmed to be dynamic, and certain aspects of it will only be displayed when activated (with the exception of the radar and the health and armor meters represented by semicircles around the perimeter of the radar).
2008 Grand Theft Auto IV rated 18 in UK
Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 08:16 AM CST | By Neil
The British Board of Film Classification today confirmed that Grand Theft Auto IV will carry an 18 certificate when it is released in the United Kingdom. The rating is identical to that given to almost every other GTA title released, and the BBFC awarded the rating without making any cuts. The game has now cleared its final hurdle before the planned April 29th release date.

2008 1up visits Rockstar North
Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 03:50 AM CST | By Neil
In a move which seems to be becoming more common, another gaming publication has been invited to visit Rockstar North's offices in Edinburgh. Crispin Boyer's trip from 1up.com's San Francisco offices was an arduous one which encompassed more water than you'd think.
While there's no new information in this preview, it's an interesting look at the city which Rockstar North and around half a million others call home. The offices are located just around the corner from the main shopping district and it's hard to imagine that any of the creatives working there gained inspiration from their surroundings.

2008 GTA IV's indiscriminate features revealed
Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 08:30 AM CST | By Neil
Yesterday we reported that the British Board of Film Classification had awarded an 18 certificate to Grand Theft Auto IV. The details were not available until today, when the organization mistakenly published more than it had intended, including detailed descriptions of the content of the game.
The game's page on the BBFC website was unvailable for most of today as staffers worked to remove the content which it had branded as a "spoiler". Luckily, Videogamer.com's James Orry managed to grab a screenshot of the page and posted it with a few slight modifications at Rockstar's request. The entire document will be published unedited by the BBFC on April 19.
The BBFC's notes reveal some of the more lurid aspects of the game which will likely see it come under-fire in the mass media when they are finally displayed. Specific mention is made to "an un-detailed portrayal of masturbation, fellatio and intercourse", encountered during visits to a "lap dancing club" in which the player can "request a private dance. The classification also notes that "reference is made to drugs trafficking and several cut scenes portray cocaine snorting".

2008 GameStop pre-order video promo
Grand Theft Auto IV - General News | @ 08:20 PM CST | By Slim Trashman
This minute long video featuring the narration of Liberty City top celebrity, Jeremy St. Ives, was collaboratively created between Rockstar and GameStop to promote pre-orders of the game at GameStop. Check it out below!
Update: A high definition version of the video will soon be available to view via Vimeo.
Neat video, but if you want your money to go straight to the developers rather than going through a bunch of corporate hootenanny first, you can pre-order your copy directly at the Rockstar Warehouse.
