DECAmongst the Multiplayer Madness GTAGaming.com - Modifications | @ 02:25 PM CST | By Zidane
It's about time to get back into the multiplayer mood, and take a brief look at the good online multiplayer mods that are coming out/already released.
Multi Theft Auto Multi Theft Auto is the most common GTA online multiplayer mod, mainly because it was the first real dedicated, and stable mod. They've come a long way since the first test release which was for GTA3 back in early 2003. Current releases support GTA3, Vice City, and soon, San Andreas. Their current versions are extremely stable and user friendly, with tons of in game options and additions. Very amazing stuff you should really check out. Latest releases and previews are listed on the official sites below. MTA: VC Official Site MTA: SA Official Site *They've also been interviewed by GTA-online.fr, you can check out this interesting read here. gtaTournament gtaTournament is also up there in the "great online mods" category. Their latest release, which has kept me interested for a while, is for San Andreas, and it's quite stable (minus the rare "socket error" crashes), but besides that, this online mod is pretty fantastic. You're able to use most mods with this one, and there are also different online scripts you can use, which allow you to spawn vehicles, teleport to locations in game, etc. The current version has a couple of drawbacks, like you can only play as CJ, some of the animations are not synchronized too well, and it can often crash out of nowhere, but their next version will be a big step up from the current. Latest version(s) available through their official site, listed below. gtaT Official Site GTA Rumble GTA Rumble is crazy stable, and the animations are better synchronized than gtaT, but custom scripts are not built in, that enable you to teleport, spawn vehicles, etc. Though, weapons are enabled and they work quite well, and when vehicles are demolished they re-spawn back to their original places, but sometimes that creates issues with other players' games. If you're into deathmatch type play, and crazy dogfights in the air, this is probably the online multiplayer mod for you. GTA Rumble Official Site **Also, thanks very much to the GTAGaming visitors who have kept me updated on these mods over time.** **On Another note, GTAGaming staff will usually use a different name while playing these mods, so if you see an impersonator, please kill them for us! :p**

DECNews and Such GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 07:10 PM CST | By rappo
Not much has been going on in the world of GTA lately, but here's a summary of some of the notable events from this week that we haven't covered already:
CheatDevice v0.5a is out! The mod that gets new versions pumped out faster than baby rabbits arrives at version 0.5. Notable additions from v0.3 (the last one we reported) include the following: car is indestructible, always steaming, smoking, or on fire, no reload, firmware 2.6 support for most functions, video recorder, CPU speed adjuster (set it to 333MHz, firmware 2.0-2.5 only), adjust battery percent, voltage, and temperature (only for firmware 2.0-2.5 as well), heavy motorcycle, turn while powerjumping, and an FPS meter (the 0.5a addition). What did I tell you? LIKE RABBITS! Version 0.5b is out now. There is one new feature: Added "Really High" to teleport list for Dodo gliding. 0.5c and 0.5d are now out, additions are: completely stops the game during screen capture so action shots won't be blurry and confirmation before unloading. You can download that at edisoncarter's homepage. San Andreas Mods I've updated the modification database the past week with some new mods including an Audi S2, 1934 Ford Traditional Rod, The Wheel Deal (a mod pack of new rims and tires), 1981 Ford Fiesta, 1967 Pontiac GTO, and a little something for the holidays... ![]() The Frozen Bone County Mod will turn Bone County into a frozen tundra. There is no sand at all, except for small sections of Area 69. All the sand and dirt is covered in snow, as is rocks, cliffs, pretty much everything. It's a nice change from the normal dry scenery, and, hopefully, the author will continue work on this and spread the snow throughout San Andreas. Until then, this is a good mod to get your snow on. Download that here. And last, but not least, you have probably noticed that GTAGaming has become a bit more festive than usual, obviously for the upcoming holiday season. I'd like to thank Rhyme and Slim Trashman from our forums for helping us out with the logo changes, and, of course our dear friend Neil for the image you see above - Watts never looked so beautiful. Also, I'd like to wish everybody a Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Joyous Kwanza, Happy Festivus... whatever you celebrate, have a good one!

DECLCS Video Viewer GTA: LCS - File Downloads | @ 07:30 PM CST | By rappo
Christian Sanowski has taken advantage of edisoncarter's advancements with his CheatDevice v0.5 video recorder with this cool download. The LCS Video Viewer enables you to watch videos you captured in game via the PSP Web Browser through the address "file:/viewer.htm". It works for all firmware above 2.0, so most people shouldn't have compatibility issues. The installation seems rather easy, and the layout is user-friendly and customizable. One downside is, however, it can't play files that are too big, but newer versions might fix that.
Download it here Thanks to Neil for the news.

The latest and greatest version of gtaTournament is out! Now I haven't been able to test this one out yet, since I'm in Florida for the week, but I've been hearing a lot of great stuff from players everywhere. So if you've got some time to kill, give it a whirl! I know I will when I get back.
The official site is gtaT.org.
