SEPNew LCS Article + Screens!

1UP has put up ten new screenshots of Liberty City Stories, a concept character image, and a nice article on the weapons that will be seen throughout LCS. There's some obvious changes to the city in these screens, one major difference is Kenji's Casino is called "The Big Shot Casino". The camera from San Andreas is also back, plus, the machete, chainsaw, .357, AK-47, Sniper Rifle, and RPG have been confirmed. This game's just lookin' better and better!

SEP1UP and IGN Keep it Coming

A new article regarding GTA: LCS has been posted at 1UP.com. The new article contains basic information about the game including the control scheme, vehicle handling, and the aiming system. 1UP actually got a chance to play the game (on a PSP development kit, though), so their review is fairly justified. Although not much new information is given, there are six new screenshots available for your viewing pleasure. However, the only new information I could find in the article pertained to load times:
We should note that our playtime was done on a PSP development kit, making it difficult to judge the load times properly, but Rockstar tells us there will be a 20 second load when you start up the game, a 12-14 second load when you switch between the three islands in the game, and a couple seconds when you enter and exit buildings. Essentially, a few pauses now and then but nothing that should disrupt gameplay in the least.

These load times seem pretty long to me, but I'm not familliar with the default load times most PSP games face. I suppose for the calibur of the game, the load times shouldn't be too hard to withstand!

As for the IGN article, the main discussion is on the first several missions you will be facing as Toni. If you're not into spoilers, I suggest you don't check it out, but you can peruise the new screenshots throughout the article, ignoring the text. However, some of them are repeats from 1UP.

SEPLCS Galore

The official Liberty City Stories website has been updated with the news that everybody has wanted to hear - multiplayer! Yes, that's right... six player multiplay. There are currently three different versions of multiplayer described on the main site - Liberty City Survivor, Protection Racket, and Get Stretch, out of a total of seven, as reported by 1Up.com. The update also comes with several new screenshots, new artwork/wallpapers, and a brand new trailer.

Enjoy the updates... you'll be seeing more updates here tonight as well, gathering the new information. For now, you can check out our screenshots page for all the newest shots and the brand new multiplayer page for information on the modes of multiplay available.

*UPDATE* Yet another multiplayer preview has been published, this time by Eurogamer. The preview gives out some interesting information regarding the map in multiplayer mode and some other small pieces of information. I reviewed and quote some of the interesting multiplayer information here. However, the new article also has some quotes from Rockstar, one of which states that the average battery life for the game will be four hours off of a fully charged battery. That should be more than enough if you ask me!
