AUGGTA Garage Mod Manager

Delfi and several others of GTAGarage and GTATools.com have created the very first mod installer for San Andreas. But the cool thing is that it works for GTAIII and Vice City as well! The current release does not have a functional browser, but it does allow you to view all vehicle models, easily install any vehicle modification, and also package/install packaged mods for easy distribution.
The program creates CAR packages for your custom made cars complete with all data needed for installing the car and checks for the need of Dmagic1 wheel mod so that almost nothing can go wrong during installation, the program also contains many useful features which are dedicated to car modders such as manual car data installer and San Andreas col into dff merging which will be extremely helpful in the future. The program works with all 3D gta games, that are GTA3, Vice city and San andreas.

We'll most likely be including .GGM versions of all of our to-be-uploaded vehicle mods from now on, and maybe add some from past uploads. This is a big leap forward for a lot of mod creators and users, and we're waiting to see how well this probably can develop.

Due to a sort of slow week and recent downtime, This Week in Mods was delayed a couple of days, but here it is now:

Tools:
Pedestrian Editor - allows you to view the models and textures for all pedestrian and lets you see what pedstats.dat name they have.
GTA Garage Mod Manager - install, package, and manage your mods very easily.

Coca-Cola Mod - Coca-Cola vending machine.
Warsteiner Mod - new beer.
Stereo Mod - new stereos for CJ's house.
Ultimate San Andreas - contains so many things in one that you just won't know what do with yourself. It really is the ultimate San Andreas mod!

Steve M., one of the best tool creators out there, has made his mark on San Andreas with the Map Viewer. Although this program has been out for quite some time, a new update was recently released, so I figured I'd make a news post about it.

This tool allows you to load the maps of GTAIII, Vice City, or San Andreas, and easily maneuver your way through them. Moving from city to city, even in San Andreas, is pretty easy with this tool.

So, you're thinking, "How much use does this tool have?" Well, it's great for modders! What it allows you to do is browse to any part of the map, right click an object, and that object's .dff (model) and .txd (texture) file names will appear. This is great if you know what you want to edit, but you just can't find the file names. I've used this quite a bit for just that, and it's worked great. I really recommend this great tool.

Also, just to save you some time, if you only want to use this tool for San Andreas and have the game installed in the default directory (C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas), download this file and extract games.cfg into your Map Viewer folder. Then press F1, F2, F3, or F4 to load the San Andreas map while in the tool. To edit this file for loading other maps, just open it up in Notepad and change the directory.

EDIT: Apparently, the awards have already been taped, and G4 is just stupid for leaving the polls open! Although San Andreas didn't "steal the ceremony," it did win an awared for Best Licensed Soundtrack, and that was much deserved. So... CONGRATULATIONS!

Thanks to Skillet for letting me know the awards are already over :P

The show will be aired on August 9 at 8PM for both eastern and western viewers.
