The modification community is up and about with the release of the San Andreas PC version release. With the rush of new mods coming out everyday, daily news posts seemed like a bit too much, so, I decided to present "This Week in Mods," where all the mods posted in the week will be listed and briefly covered. This is good for those of you that don't regularly browse our File Archive! Here's what was released since June 7th:

Tools:
Handling Editor - easily edit all aspects of the handling.cfg file.
Pedstats Editor - easily edit all aspects of the pedstats.dat file.
GarageEdit - place any car in any garage in Los Santos.
Mission Builder - edit and compile the main.scm file.
Place Manager - allows you to view, save, and teleport to any coordinate in San Andreas.
Playlister - allows you to create playlists for your User Tracks instead of copying music files.
Ultimate Editor - you heard right, ULTIMATE!
TimeSync Tool - play in real time.

Miscellaneous:
10x Draw Distance - see further than you should!
Atmosphere Pack - comes with three sky colors.
Blue Skies - just like the blue skies of beautiful Vice City.
Gang War Mod - gangs automatically start beating each other up.
Hitman Level for All Weapons - pretty self-explanatory.
New Wheels - pimp out your ride.
No Cash for Clothes - don't pay for clothes anymore!
Stats Plus - EVERYTHING in San Andreas is free, plus boosted stats.
The Chaos Mod - all peds fight with each other.
The Slow Peds Mod - need I say more?

Script Mods:
100% Save Game - everything is complete.
San Andreas Opened Up - all the cities are open from the start of the game.
Hot Coffee Mod - let's just say, this one's not for the kids!

Vehicle Mods:
Enhanced Tire Traction - every surface feels like the pavement.
Transfender Fix - allows you to trick out almost every car with NOS.
Transfender Overhaul - new items for sale.

Weapon Mods:
Double Wield All Weapons - this is so sweet!
Skateboard - replaces the shovel and allows you to beat people with a skateboard. FUN!

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is once again king of the UK games charts following last week's release of the Xbox and PC versions.

Of the 2 new versions Xbox is the format of choice with 63% of total sales, followed by PC with 34%. The Xbox version is the second fastest-selling Xbox product ever tracked within a single week, after Halo 2.

I'm sure you all know what MTA is by now. If you don't, you've been missing out. It's an ever-evolving unofficial way to play the GTA games online, (for PC only of course). Over the years they've accomplished turning Liberty, and Vice City into multiplayer deathmatch wastelands, and stunting playgrounds.

Now it's San Andreas' turn. The MTA team has been working hard to make San Andreas online compatible, and they've already made a lot of progress. MTA: San Andreas will also be built on the "Blue" platform, which is a majorly-enhanced version of the previous releases, with smoother gameplay, better stability, and will be fully moddable, plus more.
