It appears that several retailers across the US have broken the street date for GTA: San Andreas' PC version, with screenshots from the game and photographs of the boxart and disc appearing online earlier today. It should be noted that these images were sourced from people who legitimately purchased the game. The only people 'in the wrong' were the retailers for breaking the street date.
First up, a look at the physical aspects of the game.

These photographs clearly show the game's DVD disc, a page from the new darker manual and some sort of cardboard box. This box probably won't be the exterior, there are no screenshots on it. My guess is that the game will be packaged in the fold out fashion as seen in Vice City's PC version. Next, the five screenshots which have appeared online.

These screenshots were resized to allow those using lower resolutions to view them in full on screen. It won't be long until everyone can play the game. Hang tight and check back often for all the latest updates from those lucky enough to have the game already!

Here's a very nice Mercedes-Benz created by JVT for Vice City. Sure, it doesn't really fit in with the whole 80s theme of the game, but it's a great replacement for the Deluxo and nice eye candy in the Sunshine Autos Garage!

As you know, San Andreas is available today in North America, for PC and the Xbox console. We've been covering San Andreas news for quite some time, but now it's finally here, and it's time to enjoy it.

For those who are still waiting, you might want to check out the PC requirements, and the screenshots for both PC and Xbox. I've updated some of the galleries with the IGN Xbox "Good Life" preview. Well, I hope you all have fun! We may even see some mods soon. :)

Sure, it's a bit late, but the PC trailers of San Andreas have been released on the official PC version's official media page. These are two good videos to watch if you are sitting at home waiting for your copy to arrive. Although most people with thte game already probably won't be too interested in watching these clips, the rest of you can watch and wait.

I've finally got the San Andreas PC cheat codes up on GTAGaming. They aren't the official text codes released by Rockstar (as in Vice City and Grand Theft Auto III), but they work. These cheats were discovered by edisoncarter of GTAForums.

Delfi of GTATools.com is already hard at work on creating a version of TXD Workshop for San Andreas PC. Although it's currently in its beta stage, TXD Workshop 3.3 can "open practically any GTA: San Andreas texture dictionary out there!"

Next are two trainers and one modification tool for San Andreas. First is a Money Trainer that will enable you to instantly receive $10,000,000 in game. Next is the ReVOLVeR +4 Trainer which allow you to enable God Mode, Unlimited Ammo, Unlimited Money, and Unlimited Time. Last, but not least, is the San Andreas GarageEdit tool, which allows the player to place any car in any garage throughout Los Santos.

I've also reorganized the Download Database a little. I made way for all of the categories that will be popping up soon with the release of new San Andreas mods. So, if you're looking for our Vice City mods, just browse through the category titled Vice City. Keep on checking out the File Archive, though. I will be adding San Andreas mods as I see them without making news posts. There will be too many in the following weeks to make news posts for each one. So, just keep checking back!

EDIT: It's just a small note, but I wanted to add that the San Andreas Xbox Screenshots page has been updated with four new screenshots released on the Official San Andreas Xbox website.

The time has finally come for San Andreas PC/XB to become available in both Europe and Australasia. If you're still in two minds about what version to purchase, check out IGN Insider's Head-to-Head which they just put online. The article compares all three versions of the game side by side and essentially concludes that the PC version is the best looking. Unfortunately though, you'll need a premium subscription to read it.

Does San Andreas run on machines using the GeForce4 MX440 video card?

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was played on a GeForce4 MX440 during compatibility testing where the game was found to play without problems on the 440 hardware. Compatibility testing recommended settings with a resolution of 800x600x16 with draw distance set to around 1/4 and "details" set to medium for best results with this graphics card.

However, if you're still using a Geforce 4 MX series card, I'd highly recommend you upgrade to reap the full benefits of buying the PC version of San Andreas!

The cheats page for the Xbox version of San Andreas is now up with all of the codes you'll need to have a great time in your game. Just remember, you do not want to save your game with these cheats activated, it could corrupt your save files.
