APRXbox 2 to Surface on May 12 - Rockstar on Board

Microsoft today announced a partnership with Music Television (MTV) which will see the as yet unnamed successor to Xbox being unveiled in a live broadcast on the station. "MTV Presents: The Next Generation Xbox Revealed" will be broadcast around the world, although not simultaneously. A full listing of when you can catch the show is below:
North America: Thursday, May 12, at 9:30 p.m. (21:30)
Germany: Friday, May 13, at 19:00
UK: Friday, May 13, at 20:00
Australia: Friday, May 13, at 19:00


Next generation consoles from Nintendo and Sony are expected to appear first at E3, which takes place in Los Angeles one week later. Clearly Microsoft have aims to bring knowledge of their product to a mass audience - and well before Nintendo or Sony can put the boot in.

Last week, Microsoft released a list of developers and publishers who were supporting the project, and unsurprisingly - Rockstar Games are a part of it! We don't know yet whether the new Grand Theft Auto title will appear on the machine, but here's hoping!

The long-awaited Vice City total conversion mod, GTA: Long Night, is finaly here months after it was first introduced. This completely redone version of Vice City will create a more Resident Evil-esque atmosphere, with zombies at every turn.

-New Storyline
-Over 20 original full missions
-Over half a dozen playable characters
-New Radio Stations
-New Particle Effects
-Numerous weapon tweaks (including the ability to carry all heavy weapons simultaneously)
-New Gameplay elements (Zombies, plotlines, )
-New and improved zombie spawning system
-25 Unique Zombies
