AUGGamebiz.com.au Article GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 11:54 AM CST | By Kodo
Gamebiz.com.au has a new article that is based off the most recent GameSpot feature. It summarizes everything about the new districts of Los Santos and its transportation while still being easy to understand. It doesn't take long to read through so definetly give it a look.
I believe it did mention some new minor details - some things about hot dog stands and the fact you could do shady dealings with the ferris wheel operator at the pier amusement park.

AUG17 San Andreas Screenshots Added to Gallery GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 02:06 PM CST | By Neil
I've added seventeen new San Andreas screenshots to our gallery from the weekend's Gamespot/IGN articles. This takes the total number of screenshots on GTAGaming to well over 100. Check out the first glimpses of Carl swimming through the waters around Los Santos, the Brown Streak railway company and the freeway which connects Los Santos to the rest of the state at the link below. Our thanks again to Richard Kruger, webmaster at Rockstar Games for getting the screenshots out to us and the other fansites so quickly.

AUGGameSpy Article GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 10:50 PM CST | By Kodo Here is GameSpy's The Real Los Santos article. I read over it and honestly thought I was re-reading the GameSpot/IGN articles, but hey, it combines them both into one so there's something positive. They also said if you screw around in the water too long you could be shark food, though part of me is thinking that's just a figure of speech. Check it out. -- GameSpy Article -- GameSpy Screenshots

The UK gaming website Gamesradar.com has posted their version of the original GameSpot exclusive. This brings us to five nearly identical articles now... but if you were on the moon the past week then give this one a read.

AUGSan Andreas Air Force Version 2 GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 06:24 PM CST | By Switch Designs
This mod is just like the San Andreas Air Force Mod except it is the San Andreas Air Force Mod Version 2 and will change your Skimmer Seaplane into a F16c jet from the San Andreas Air Force. This jet is also alot of fun to fly, it has awesome reflections, body textures (San Andreas theme textures Created by Switch Designs), edited collision file, included jet sounds/handling pack (created by makis) which makes the skimmer sound like a real jet, take off from the ground, fly as high as you want, perform flips, and you can now do barrel rolls which makes it great for aerobatics.

AUGGamesradar: CJ Goes for a Swim GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 11:20 AM CST | By Neil
MSN Gamesradar, one of the UK's top gaming sites, has added their interpretation of last weekend's IGN article about swimming in San Andreas. Perhaps more interestingly though, they have set a date for their 'exclusive' coverage of the game.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be released for PS2 on 22 October. We'll have loads more on the game this Friday (13 August) -- MSN Gamesradar, 11th August 2004 Link: MSN Gamesradar: CJ Goes for a Swim

AUGbrokenMod I - Version 0.8 GTA: Vice City - Modifications | @ 12:43 PM CST | By brokenfish
I'm sorry for the long delay, but minor complications and other work have kept me busy for the past few weeks (when this was supposed to be released).
Although most of the code was untouched since February 2004, last month I decided to pick up a little mod development again. I've only spent a total of a few hours on this one. It's not much - just what I could fit in on spare time. Below are some screenshots that highlight only three of the countless extra features added into Vice City with this modification. The first two show invulnerability and water-walking. The rest demonstrate the brokenBoost rocket propulsion system. Since the mod itself is extremely light in size, I have combined the manual installation files and the VCM package into one archive. Please read the ReadMe inside the archive. It is in HTML format to improve your experience. I should probably also add that this mod is exclusively hosted at GTAGaming and should not be leeched to be uploaded. Thanks for respecting this decision, honorable webmasters. :) Although this is all that I'm releasing today, be on the lookout for a series of "mini-mods" that add bits and pieces of this mod to the original game without modifying anything else. Hopefully this new brokenMod I revision will keep all Vice City players busy until San Andreas' release. :) Enjoy!

AUGSan Andreas Vehicles Section Overhaul GTA: San Andreas - General News | @ 07:02 PM CST | By Neil
I've just spent the past four hours giving a complete overhaul to the San Andreas Vehicles section of the site. All vehicles are now categorised, with updated descriptions of each one. This should help solve many of the navigation issues people have been requesting we sort out. You can give your feedback in the comments of this post.

AUGOfficial Playstation 2 Magazine UK: Issue 50 GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 06:22 AM CST | By Neil
The latest issue of Official Playstation 2 Magazine UK has just been published, and it includes a 3-and-a-half page feature about Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. A little more information is divulged about the countryside, with place names like "The Back O' Beyond", "Shady Creek" and "Flint County" all coming up. It is also suggested that to cycle from Los Santos to "The Back O' Beyond" would take around 40 minutes, showing the sheer scale of the game. One new screenshot is included, and you can see it below:
Official Playstation 2 Magazine UK is now available from newsagents, priced £5.99.
