JULPolaski mentioned in VC GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 12:12 AM CST | By Zidane
Jay Cagatay has noticed that the name 'Polaski' is mentioned by Ken Rosenberg after being busted. Here's what Jay's message said:
Hi, I'm a regular visitor but as usual, first time contributor. I was looking through the Vice City audio folder and found something very interesting. In Ken Rosenberg's pleas for Vercetti to get out of jail, he states "Get Sargent Polaski down here that fat chump owes me a favour!" Which can be heard in this file. The exact same crooked cop Polaski that now works in the S.A. Police Department and framed CJ? Yeah. I just thought you might find those interesting and wondered if anybody else spotted any more clues towards the next GTA installment being SA? Great find Jay, very observent!

JULZ Modeler 2 (Preview) GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 12:13 AM CST | By Zidane
Head over to Z Modeler 2's temporary site to grab yourself a preview version of ZModeler2.
I've decided to release a preview version of ZModeler2 few days earlier than announced before. This is as preview version only and does not contain that much functionality, even ZModeler 1 series has more tools than this one. But anyway, this is a new evolution of ZModeler which will surely beat ZModeler 1 series. So, grab you copy on the Downloads page. Surely this is good news for all of you GTA modelers out there. ;) Thanks, to LuigiBrotha for submitting this to us.

JULCatalina in San Andreas? GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 06:30 PM CST | By Zidane
'World Wide Pants!' has submitted this little peice of info to us:
Just doing a little backtracking in GTA 3 history at the liberty tree and I came upon this: Asked why they thought she was now living in Liberty City, our sources said, "We raided her apartment last week in one of those funny towns down south with a Spanish name, Los Something or other, or San Somebody, and we found a ticket with a flight to Francis International Airport. It didn't take us long to realize this was the airport in Liberty City. I guess this means that we shall learn more about Catalina's past in San Andreas and quite possibly Fido's real name. Link: http://www.rockstargames.com/libertytree/story3.html Interesting stuff. Thanks World Wide Pants!

JULGame Informer: August 2004 GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 06:07 PM CST | By Neil
The August 2004 issue of Game Informer will hit newsstands across the US on July 23rd, but we've managed to find out all the information that's contained within, pertaining to San Andreas.
-- The camera can be controlled while walking or running using the right stick on the controller. -- The main feature of the targetting system from Vice City; locking on, has been retained, but this time you can strafe left and right while you are aiming. The magazine also contains three screenshots which have not been seen elsewhere. The first screenshot shows a 'Vinewood' sign, in true Hollywood style. A television/radio/telephone mast is also seen atop the same hill. The second screenshot depicts Carl Johnson with a pump action shotgun, in a suburban environment. Two cars also appear in the screenshot, with one looking extremely similar to the Vice City Esperanto and the front of what looks like a Voodoo. Damage modelling appears to have received no improvement so far, however both cars have Xbox-esque 3D wheels. The final new screenshot gives us our first real insight into what the police car will look like. The overall colour appears to be black, with the trunk being raised higher than the Vice City cop car. For legal reasons, these screenshots cannot be posted on our server. Thanks to 'fourengland' for providing the basis of this information.

JULVulva FU90 GTA: Vice City - Modifications | @ 03:32 PM CST | By rappo
This car isn't too fancy. This can either be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on the downloader. For me, it's a good thing because I think that it blends in with all the other cars around Vice City (and the all around theme) very nicely, which makes it a good car to see driving around the streets. This car is designed for the Myriad Isle CMP.

JULInterview with Dan Houser GTAGaming.com - General News | @ 08:36 PM CST | By Zidane
Euro Gamer recently posted an interview with Dan Houser which was conducted by Official Playstation 2 Magazine UK, and appeared in the July 2004 issue. It's pretty interesting stuff. Read what they think about while they're making GTA San Andreas. See how some of the more important things will be:
On territories: You can now recruit a gang and take over territories with them, and then lose territories if you don't look after them. So you have got the idea that bits of the map become personalised to you as much as your own character becomes personalised to you." ...to some of the umm... not... so important :p : On stupid hair: If you have got a stupid haircut, people will say, You look stupid'." Give it a read! (Thanks to incubusnb & Cam for submitting this news)
