It is possible. Alex, (a.k.a. CaliGangstar) over at www.gtanet.com, has e-mailed Lazlow asking if he will be in GTA: San Andreas. Lazlow's response was simple.

Straight out of Sonic the Hedgehog to Vice City comes Dr. Robotnik's Eggpod. If you have ever played Sonic the Hedgehog, you will recognize this one instantly! It's the little vehicle that Dr. Robotnik, the enemy, always rides around in. It's even in the older Sonic the Hedgehog games (Sonic 2, Boss on Level 1). Now, everyone can enjoy this strange vehicle in Grand Theft Auto!

Here's a handy dandy little "tool" that modders might like. Basically, it's a weapon background (like the ones that the original weapons have) for modifications. I've noticed that some weapon mods out there don't have the backgrounds, and I think it looks better if they do. So, I decided to release this simple, but helpful, background. It's in a .tga (targa) format. Oh, and it's transparent too.

We've got some awesome new wallpapers by Aidan Williams. On the surface it looks like he composed Rockstar's artwork, and that's true, but there's more work put into them that you might not see. If you look closely you'll see that more of each image is viewable and some parts of them are created from scratch. This is because he extracted the original images from the Flash files, worked on them, and then put them together.


I'm really glad Aidan made these. I was having trouble choosing my favorite Rockstar artwork to use as my wallpaper, but Aidan solved that by combining them all into one.

The GTA: Liberty City mod has had its first beta version released!
This mod, although very advanced, is basically just a port of the GTA3 Liberty City into Vice City.
It's like GTA3 with Vice City's enhancements. The PCJ-600, Hunter, and some other vehicles are still available for the player to use.

This total conversion comes with an installer (optional) included.

I highly recommend this mod. Keep up with it here.

Yazu has released a great looking 1970's Aston Martin V8 Vantage. It's got full reflection mapping, great model quality and 3D wheels & engine. Best of all, it fits well into the setting of Vice City. Both versions are around 1.1MB.

Sin5k4's Pagani Zonda and Rikkle's deTomaso Mangusta have been added to the site. Both cars are available as either VCM or Manual Install, and are just over 1mb each. With these two mods, comes an experiment. I'm testing out a new, more user friendly way of extracting the .vcm files if you choose that method. The file will be a .exe and if you've installed the mod manager to the default directory it'll simply be a case of clicking unzip - no browsing to folders needed! If this method is popular, then I'll implement it on all future VCM mods I post, so please leave your feedback in the comments of this news post.
