That's sweet. Only a little over half a year after console release. Bad thing is, it'll be school so I'll either have to save it until winter break or rape my grades.

It sounds like a very plausible release date. But they wouldn't announce the date before the release of the console version, as it won't sell as well if they do.

If Crysis needs this to run:

I really don't think GTA IV will need a better rig than Crysis. If anything it'll be less. The graphics don't look all that, at least from the screenshots and trailers. Then again it might play, but its gonna lag like a slut.

definately gonna stick to waiting for the PC release, whenever it comes.. in my country, it's pretty silly to give money for a next-gen console, so heck.. well, I could be sure I will run GTA IV on high, right? my specs are in my sig.. and btw, don't care if it's that soon, I just want it before winter break..

If true, this is excellent news. I'll buy and play the game on PS3, but it's the PC version I'm really looking forward to.

They announced the PC/Xbox versions of SA before it was released on PS2. I don't think they gave a date but they did announce they were working on them so it may happen with IV as well.

Heck, Assassins Creed even has a bigger minimum requirements than Crysis.
Also, i seriously doubt the PC version is going to come out this month at all. But if it was confirmed then it's my dream come true, no PS3/360 required.

I hope that isn't a rumor, October 2008 would rock, which makes sense, cause PC release date is ussually 6 months after console
