D-pad button idea
I just thought of a use for the d-pad buttons on the ps3 controller for GTA IV. Imagine if you pressed the up on the d-pad and a message that you picked for that button in the phone menu, for example you are parked outside a bank and you about to rob the place and you go into your phone and you set a message or animation that the AI would react to, so you have set your messages and animations so you enter the bank and you press the up button and you shoot one bullet into the ceiling , then you press the right button and you shout at people to get down on the floor and then you run over to the clerk and point the gun at him and you press the down button and you shout at the clerk to fill the bag full of cash so he does, the bag is now full and you grab it and it's now time for you to make your escape so you run to the door and you press the left button and thats tells no one to move you exit the door and get to the car you put the money in the boot and you get in the car and drive off. It would be useful online too, you are playing a team deathmatch and you need to tell your team to help you out so when you press the up button it could tell nearby team mates to follow you and down would be to tell them to stay where they are, left would be to make niko shout to nearby team mates to help and heal you and right would be to attack the enemy team.

I think i understand what your trying to say, But why press buttons? What else is Niko going to say if he pulls a gun to the clerk? Wouldn't it be easier if it was all automated?

Man, I love your ideas man, You NEED to work for Rockstar, you would make things better, not that their games are bad, but you definetly have the potential to do great things for them

I think it would be better if it was just automated and you could the D Pad buttons for something else.
