main.scm and particle.cfg

i find a lot of mods replace main.scm but the problem there is that i have to let a good mod go to use an other good mod....

is there a main.scm mod manager so that u can have nos and u can swim if u feel like it and u can do any other main replaceable mod by having a main.scm mod manager

also particle.cfg now i really enjoy cherry exaust and reallistic tire smoke
but what if i get another mod that seems cool i dont wanna lose thse mods to use the new one.....

is there anyone good enough at making mods that can make what i need with particle.cfg and main.scm

or is there tools like this that already exist that i can use

just keep them in a folder called main.scm and switch them with each other when you want?
if you understand that lol

I'd say you've got about 2 or 3 options with the main.scm

1) Learn what each main.scm code does, then use that 'snippet' of the code and put it in your own main.scm file

2) Get somebody else to do it for you

3) (not worth the wait) Get somebody to make a program that, like you said, manages the main.scm file. (BTW all programmers, theres an idea just waitin for you to create!)

With the particle.cfg, open it with notepad. then look at whats changed and use that in your compilation particle.cfg (hope i make sense to u, cos its sooooooooooooooooooooo easy! )

that main.scm manager is almost impossible. it wouldnt be able to tell what "features" are which because there are different ways of doing different things. id bet that it will never be made. a swapper might, but not a real combiner/compiler.

Brokenfish...why dont you combine all the coolest main.scm mods and roll em into your one? (Put swimming in!) The program doesn't have to recognise the main.scm ; it just has to insert the little bit of coding and sort of self-debug it and make it work. it could be done...

no, you can change your name. just look around in your profile. its easy, i think.

and for the ones who wanted swimming: it sucks. if youve ever tried it, it only works for the keyboard/mouse controls, and its too annoying (the "swimming" part)

Nutheads you said in your first post something about a NOS mod. Where can i find it..
I had one.. but i couldn't load a saved game with the mod. The mod said that i have to start a new game..but when i did that i didn't have money and i couldn't do a mission.. so i hope that isn't the NOS mod you're talking about...
