GTA4.net's Liberty City - New York Comparison

GTA4.net - Liberty City: Real-World Comparisons, New York, New Jersey

Probably the best and most in-depth LC - NY comparison I've seen so far for GTA IV. You should definitely take a look at this to see how realistic Rockstar has made the city.

Wow, you can see why it's taken them three years to develop the game. Near - perfection.

It's nice to see these comparisons. Reminds me a bit of the Spiderman 2 game (as did the GTAIV trailer) just because of all the NYC buildings.

I wonder if the whole game is going to be based on the REAL big new york, but with faked buildings? Consider True Crime NYC and Manhattan, with all the size I think it's going to be just about comparable to real life NYC.

They've said the map is slightly smaller than SA so it can't be too acurate to NYC. Unless it's just done with a smaller ratio, but I don't think that's what Rockstar North would do.

Anyway I prefer ficticious cities as they are designed for fun gameplay rather than for good housing and efficient traffic flow.

I agree, I prefere ficticious too, for exacly the same reason. And does anyone know how they are comparing the new map to SA? Is it Km of road, or overall area? I'm not too botherd how big it is anyway, the detail is incredible, unlike SA that had vast expances of basicly nothing.
