Heavy Rain

This game is so slow, and I love it. I just hope it stays that way and doesn't end suddenly. Having to move your controller for those quick time events is pretty funny, not something you can do with a 360 controller. I have to get use to the buttons though, got beat up in that fight in the hotel room (with the PI). I kept htting square instead of X because that's where the X on the xbox360 controller is.

Oh well, keeps things exited and this way I'll learn where all the buttons are.

The cool thing about heavy rain is apparently there are tons of different ways that it can end. I still need to play it.

@Nite: I haven't played HL1 in years so I didn't really notice much missing. The added detail and HL2-style gameplay more than makes up for it IMO.

I've barely started the game and I've already seen multiple things I could've done differently (some minor, some major). It's a very cool game indeed, some reviewers called it more of an interactive 'movie' which is true, but it's still a nice change from other games. If you really hate quick-time events it's not recommendable though. I personally don't mind it, since it's done very well (failing to press the right button at the right time doesn't result in 'game over' but just results in a different outcome).

Have you ever played God of war? I was able to get the 1&2 HD remake + 3 for pretty cheap so I figured it was worth it.

Heavy Rain was great, there are a lot of endings. You will spend a lot of time on that game.

I've just been playing Resident Evil 6. I started on Leon's campaign and I'm not long through Chapter 2. It's a cool game so far.

I don't want to judge it before I've played it more but I can't help but feel a little disappointed. There are three campaigns (Leon, Chris & Jake) But only 5 Chapters in each. They're sort of long chapters but to be honest I'd rather have it be a long game like Resi 4 with just Leon. But that's just my preference anyway, I think Leon's the best!

I've got to say that Billy from resident evil zero was my favorite character though, but I can understand why he didn't appear in later games. They made a cool team though (rebecca and billy)

I tried out a Resident evil 6 demo and turned it off pretty soon because I hated it. But I guess I can try playing it some more, I've been a big fan of the series until 5 (4 was cool but 5 didn't really interest me that much, I stopped playing and caring at a certain point).

Fifa 13. Had to delete all my data because of a glitch. A created player became corrupt after I downloaded the latest squads and a creation centre team. From what I've heard over the years this isn't really a new glitch, where a corrupted created player essentially cripples the game, so it makes me realise: how the fuck do these games get through testing? I don't think this is the first time I've asked this about an EA game either.

I just find it ridiculous how something like this can still be a problem over the years and result in the entire game needing reset. Goodbye, those three career modes I had going on.

The same way EA basically took FIFA12, slapped a new rooster or even less than that and is now selling it as FIFA13 on Wii or some other console

Charged up my DS and tried Chinatown Wars again. Hadn't played it since I bought it almost 9 months ago. If you can look through the awkwardly stupid dialogue it's pretty fun. Though the digital car theft thing with the numbers gives me an anxiety attack every time.

EDIT: Also been playing quite a bit of WoW again. Got my Monk to 60. The class felt really underpowered for a while, but it's evening out as the levels get higher. Not like it was when Death Knights came out and you plowed through everything. The Monk feels balanced with all the other classes. Just a lot of abilities to use and only so many fingers.

Yeah I just got to that part of the buying and selling. I need more DS games. But most the good ones are for 3DS and I have the old first generation DS.

Retro City Rampage

IT FINALLY CAME OUT. 2D Top Down GTA 1,2 type game that is just chock full of video game and pop culture references and a awesome soundtrack from like the dudes who did the music for bit.trip and Super Meat Boy. Great game.

I was playing Beat Hazard a few days ago with the lights off and my headphones up real loud. having a sweet time. And then my housemate came upstairs and was standing directly in front of my waving his hands all around my screen and yelling at me and apparently i just didn't react in the slightest lolol. In the fucking zone.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown

I think I might be developing a renewed love for tactical strategy games
