| Posts: n/a | Editing code to stay on bikes? I have seen the stunt videos where you go off a jump which would clearly make you fall off, but Tommy still stays on. Even after he lands too! What part in the config file do I have to change in order to not fall off, or as easily? Thanks. |

There is nothing impressive about landing a modded jump! That's just silly. Heck, I have some clips where I did some stunts where you would think they've been modded. Check this one out: http://rappovice.gtagaming.com/replay.zip. That clip is completely unmodded. As far as making a mod which will allow you stay on the bikes... that's a mystery to me. But it would probably be in the main.scm file, and I wouldn't bother looking for it (unless someome already has and can tell you) because it's fine just the way it is. It stops you from crashing so often... or not. __________________ ![]() |

| Posts: n/a | I think maybe there's a trick to it. I'm still trying to figure it out. I have installed the Ducati mod for the PCJ 600 and it seems to land better than the PCJ did, similar to the dirtbikes. But I still fall off, mostly when landing/rolling backwards. Still, you can do some crazy stunts if you hit things right. I like playing on the slanted wall in front of Sunshine autos. ![]() |

| Posts: n/a | handling.cfg yo, i aint a modder or anythin, but im pretty sure that u can use the Handling.cfg file and edit the first number (for mass) under the "bike". that makes it heavier so when u hit cars n crap u dont fall, but i dono about stayin on, might just be in tehr somewhere i dono... but yea try taht. |

| Posts: n/a | yeah you can make the bike heavy so that cars and light poles dont knock you off, but youll still fall if you hit a building, im pretty sure, and so i dont think thats such a good mod. otherwise you cant mod to stay on. you just have to get real good at shifting your weight and never land backwards. i think maybe rockstar had the right idea on this one, cuz maybe i fall off a lot when trying stunts, but that makes the ones i land well feel that much better. especially when you try and do a corkscrew or something |

If there wasn't you'd fall off of the bikes, too. Oh, and the mass only effects things when you tap them. If you are already accelerating and then you crash into a car at a high speed, your mass won't help ya out. The mass is for when you start moving right in front of a car, you can push it along. There must be a way to do it or else you'd fall out of cars, or you'd stay on the bikes, there has to be a mod on something, either the cars or the bikes to make them do what they actually do. You may recall a Harley Chopper mod for GTA3 which replaced the Diablo Stallion. In that mod, you would not fall off of the bike because it had the configuration of the Diablo Stallion. Actually, I think it's all in the model! There must be something file on the model like the chassis or something that causes you to fall off. Someone should break apart a car and turn it into a motorcycle. For the police motorcycle on gtagaming.com, I think the .dff was just renamed to police.dff, and it wasn't modelled again to fit the police car (and of course the lights and all had to be configurated as well). Somehow... someway... there must be a solution. I'll look into it further, but I'm not too sure I could find it. You may want to ask Barton Waterduck because he's a great main.scm editor, and he may be able to find it in there. But, if it has to do with the model, you could probably find any ole modeller to try it out! __________________ ![]() |

| Posts: n/a | speaking of rappos suggestion about how the game has been originally 'modded' to made tommy fall off bikes/not fall out of cars, anyone ever notice tommy putting on a seltbelt? What I'm saying is, how cool would it be if you could make a mod such that the game is even more realistic:...Tommy smashing through the windscreen, when he hits a another vehicle at very high speeds. Or perhaps that idea of throwing your patriot into a small blista compact and watching that old lady rocket through the air followed by glass splinters... Imagine that for a realistic mod.. |
