Trouble installing Mods

*edited* Is there a mod out there like the MarD mulit mod for VC?

I'm trying to install a couple mods and when I used IMGtool it freezes up. I've made sure the the file I was modding was not read-only anymore. I got MarD Multi mod installed but my game woud freeze up as it was loading a new game so I had to reinstall the entire game. Is it just becase my I'm runnin WinME? or something else....thanks

i dont think mard made a multimod for vice city.

make sure that both your gta3.img file and your gta3.dir (both in the models folder) are not read-only... i had the same exact problem, and i just dealt with it for a couple of months. Then, finally i read the readme of moo mapper, and it explained the problem for some odd reason.

its not an odd reason. its directly linked to it. the extension is dir. think about it

ok, maybe two months is an exaggeration... but it was a pretty darn long time...

And, I am smarter NOW!!!!

i was getting pretty pissed off at that IMG Tool though...

oh, and another program that pisses me off is that GTA3 Audio thing which lets you open up the sfx.sdt file... that barely ever works!!! Does anyone know the problem?

ive heard many people had the problem with i/o errors and stuff... ive never had those with this program, but its something to do with your disk.
