Textures

Just wanna hear how i can change the textures for the veichels in vice city. Like what program i need (beside the painting program) and what files i need to replace.

Does it work like paint style? as in you just control a 'pencil' with the mouse and it puts colour over the texture you are editing?

Well i forgot about ViceTXD (wich i had before you posted). But what file is it the textures for the cars and bikes are in???

the format is .bmp after you extract them. I dont know why you are havig so much trouble...

Oh now i know what i should do.... Well i guess that I should extract the txd file from "GTA3.img" and then i can export it and change it! Am i right??? I hope so

Yes. I certainly am! I managed to change all the billboards at the airport to something a little more tasteful.:p

BTW, where in GTA3.img is the big billboard that says 'SURF VICE' on it and has the SPAS-12 behind it? I would very much like to edit that.

And lastly, why is it called GTA3.img if its for Vice City?

EDIT: How do you change the cars? I found all of them but the designs are all in white (I assume so the colours can change) and the designs are thoroughly confusing. I can't work out which bit is the roof and which bit is the bonnet! If you colour them in full colour does it change the cars properties so that it only has one colour through all of its incarnations?

the white is there for a reason. i think ill leave you to find that out... :p

And lastly, why is it called GTA3.img if its for Vice City?

it was based on gta3 game.
