(Xbox version) I finally got Doom 3 for Xbox last week. So I thought I might as well write a review about it. My thoughts: So the game starts off at Mars City, but as you progress in the game the place goes mad. Workers that you met earlier on have now been turned into Zombies. The controls are what are what you would expect from and Xbox FPS. The right trigger to shoot and ''Y'' to change weapons. Graphics: I've played Doom 3 on the PC and once I heard about it coming to the Xbox I was wondering could thge xbox handle the graphics well. Well thankfully my prayers have been answered. The graphics are extremly detailed with great lighting effects. I'd say the graphics have well surpassed the likes of Halo 2. Gameplay: It's a typicial FPS in many respects. Using the almost idintical controls as RS3:BA and Halo2. Negatives: Well to be quite honest I had ono main problem with Doom 3. The ability to not hold weapons and a flashlight at the same time was a right bummer, you'd be passing through a leval with no lights and you see a monster, you'd drastically hit the ''y'' button but the monster will have likely attacked you by that time draining a bit from your health. The Result: This is a great game. Monsters from Giant spiders and zombies wil scare the heck out of you until you've gotten used to it. The graphics are visually impresive and multiplayer it a true joy. Score: 9.5/10.00 This truely is a great game that easily surpasses Halo. Buy or Rent? Buy!! This is a game for Xbox fans that should not be missed. |

It was supposed to provoke a fear factor. __________________ Thanks to SigCribz for the signature! ![]() Still pissing off members of high authority since September 2000. |

It's a great game but the demon killing can become quite repedative at times. I have to agree with Gamespot's score of 8.5/10. It doesn't even come close to being as good as Half-Life 2. __________________ ![]() Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.2GHZ || 4GB OCZ PC6400 || 896MB GeForce GTX 260 || Gigabyte GA-EP45 |
