Cooper. is on a distinguished road
Lara Corft Tomb Raider The Angle of Darkness

Lara Croft was coming to playstation 2. Finally after months of delay i got my copy, laying there on my door step. It had a lot of bad press from the start but being so naive I ignored all of it and spent £30 on it, purely because it was tomb raider.

Anyway, after ripping of the packaging I stood in amazement. Got to be one of the most brilliant covers I’ve ever seen. Still in the back of my mind I was thinking 'what is the press were right? What if it is shit?'

In goes the disk and on goes the power. About 10 minuets later the game had finally loaded and i could get my hands on the gameplay.

Do you remember when you'd try getting the camera angle looking at Lara’s ass on PS1? Well no need to do it here because the camera angle is all over the place and mostly pointing at her pixilated ass. You never go decent angle to jump.

The Graphics were okay. Not the best ever but nevertheless, pretty good. The lighting was the most impressive, however i could never see much as it was pretty dark and it was a light room I was playing in, it was summer so what'd you expect?

To be honest I can’t remember the music, therefore assuming it was unmemorable. The voice's, however were good. Lara still had here sexy English accent, which no one else in England has.

Reloading was the reason this game scored so low. Nearly every jump was done by pure luck. And when you missed the jump you would have to reload, taking a whopping 30 seconds every time. In addition to this there was the constant repetitiveness of saving, if you didn't save before every jump you might as well start again. The game play was slow most of the time, with short, sharp outbursts of action. The controls were complex at time and if you press the wrong button at the wrong time Lara dies.

Angle of Darkness is a very challenging game and I would advise you to buy this game only if you are seriously willing to put so much time and so much effort into practice. It is most certainly not a 'pick-up and play' title. If you love Lara, then stick to Playstation 1, because there is only disappointment to find here.

Overall
Graphics Not the best, Not the worst 7/10
Sound Eerie to my memory however didn't add much atmosphere to the game. 5/10
Gameplay Worst of any game ever played. 1/10
Lifespan Very long if you have the patients...Due to the amount of times you have to reload the game to progress anywhere. 2/10

Overall
4/10 I would never recommend this game to anyone and would advise you to keep away.
