When I first picked this game up I was very excited to play it. This is the follow up to Halo, which is one of the greatest first person shooters ever. The game exceeds the first in most, if not every way. There are changes to the gameplay itself. The most noticable feature is the fact that there is no health meter. This takes away the constant worrying about low health and searching around for medpacks. It also takes away any disadvantage you might have against someone you're in a firefight with. Another important feature is the ability to hold a combination of any two one-handed weapons. This gives a great sense of variety to the shooting aspect of the game, and you're always picking up a new second weapon rather than just blasting away with one. The missions and level design have been greatly improved. In the first game, when you went through the levels again there was a sense of "Been there, done that." That feeling is not present on Halo 2, and the levels will always be a great challenge on the higher difficulties no matter how much you think you have mastered it. The multiplayer is where the game really exceeds. If you don't have Xbox Live, you're really missing out. Split screen is fun to a limit. There is nothing like playing a 16-player capture the flag match over Live. The new gametypes and levels are brilliantly made. The graphics and sound in this game are awesome. The graphics live up to the expected high standards. The landscapes are beautiful. The soundtrack is, as was the case with the first game, brilliant. There are many modern rock tunes, along with the classical atmospheric music that really sets it apart from other game sountracks. This game does, however, lack a few things. First of all, you do not have the ability to play cooperative over Xbox Live. This mode is one of the greatest aspects of the game, but it could be fixed with a future update. The story is the main drawback. While the story is not exactly "bad", the game ends abruptly and unexpectedly, but does however give room for new expectations. This is one of the greatest games I have ever owned or played. It lived up to the hype in my opinion. 9.5/10 |

As for the game it was more of a expansion pack then a new game, I mean come on the only new thing was online and dual guns abillity, and a couple of weapons and that is about it. 59% | |

I had a better time playing Halo PC online that I did playing Halo 2 over live. __________________ ![]() Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.2GHZ || 4GB OCZ PC6400 || 896MB GeForce GTX 260 || Gigabyte GA-EP45 |

If you mean Half-Life 2 being on Xbox, yes it will be, and no you will not be able to play Garry's Mod or Counter-Strike Source. That's the benafit of the PC version. __________________ ![]() Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.2GHZ || 4GB OCZ PC6400 || 896MB GeForce GTX 260 || Gigabyte GA-EP45 |

If you mean PS2, that won't happen. I'll quote a certain post Neil made a little while back. Quote:

While that doesn't make it an expansion pack it doesn't make it a completely new game either. Playing it over Live is really the best part of the game, especially when you play with your friends as opposed to all random people you don't know. @Piggus: I'm actually not a huge fan of Counter Strike. I'm not saying it's bad becuase clearly it isn't. I didn't really like Halo PC either. I guess I'm just more of a console person. @Lynk: There's a lot more than dual guns. You have to own it to really get into it. @Locust: You mean PS2 not Xbox, right? That'll never happen because the game is made by a Microsoft owned company: Bungie. |

It's not like Bungie told us it was going to have features it wasn't. I didn't even care, I just purchased the Collector's Edition for the heck of it and I liked it. |
