Nintendo spends the whole time trying to convince people that their new current gen system is actually next gen because it comes with an expensive controller.

Sony talks mostly about the Vita and Jack Tretton thanks the customers a lot.

Microsoft shoves more Kinect and apps down everyone's throat to distract people from their lack of compelling first party software.

My expectations are pretty low this year.

Would be nice to see some next gen consoles but I still think both Microsoft and Sony are keeping their cards close to their chest. I just pray that Sony change their dashboard - the xbox one looks awesome. Sony should do an android style interface.

OH GOD NO. The PS3 XMB is fine the way it is and I'm glad they never changed it. I only liked the original Xbox 360 blades dashboard a lot. The NXE interface and the newest one are filled with ads and shit nobody wants. I wish there were a way to choose.

The only nice thing about the sony dashboard is the changing wallpaper (colour and pattern) - everything else just has icons everywhere.

It's all about opinions and preferences. Personally I find this

to be more simple and clean than

I just don't wanna see car ads, videos with sound playing, and Call of Duty map packs every time I turn on the system =P Not to mention the menus are slow to transition. Not a big deal, just not my pref.

If they were to change the XMB, they would lift the menu off Vita.

The XMB is intuitive but I think they'll change it. An app style interface wouldn't make sense though. It makes sense on the Vita but not a system that you use a controller to navigate.

And yeah I agree with Grimmy. The Xbox dash is a piece of crap. I'm not renewing my Live subscription unless they significantly cut back on the stupid ads or at least make them much less intrusive. There's absolutely NO excuse for that shit on a subscription-based service that's free and with less ads on other systems. The only reason MS gets away with it is because people just let them.

I spend so little time on the dashboard that the ads don't bother me. I don't like navigating it however, the previous version was a bit better to navigate around. Thankfully I usually only have to press A when I turn mine on to play whatever game is in the drive.

Also E3 has not excited me in years. I doubt anything really interesting will be announced, I feel like they don't save stuff like that for E3 anymore.

Just finding stuff on that dashboard is a convoluted mess. You have to go through like 5 layers to find the new Arcade games. And the Quick Play option is anything but.
