apparently it's going to be roughly $100. while that isn't bad for a special edition, i don't really see this drawing me in, especially if they sell the classic multiplayer character pack.

personally I don't think this is worth a hundred bucks. I would pay 80, but the regular edition will be fine.

The idea of Max Payne Mulitplayer sounds absolutely fucking RETARDED, what the FUCK? How the FUCK do you get MULTIPLAYER out of fucking MAX PAYNE?

Also, that statue looks mad lame. Why not make it classic Max? I know it is a pretty early "rendering" but that statue looks like shit.

I wonder if I'll be dumb enough to even look into getting the SE.

Possibly, but fuck the fucking multiplayer shit, and if the statue looks like THAT, fuck the fucking statue.

I want to wait and see a more current view of a statue. If it looks like that, fuck it. I wish they would chop the dumbass multiplayer shit out of it and make it an even 80, or if this is a "super duper limited edition" that you got to get before a certain time, they should have packs you choose from, what you want in it, and what you DON'T want in it.

What means the most to me is the game anyway, been waiting 7-8 fucking years for this shit. Fuck the dumbass special stuff.

Multiplayer was announced for it months ago, sadly Single Player only game do not do well anymore, so games HAVE to include a Multiplayer Mode even though it's clearly shoved in. One of the biggest complaints submitted to Rockstar about L.A.Noire was the lack of replay value due to no Multiplayer. As for HOW Multiplayer would work, I'd imagine it would be like Stranglehold, but improved a shit load:

I don't know how people could complain about L.A. Noire not having multiplayer because in my mind that just wouldn't work. As for Max Payne multiplayer I could see myself playing it if it was a lot more refined than Stranglehold.

Completely not true, look at Skyrim, Mass Effect 1&2, Fallout 3 & NV, God of War 3 and many many others. All amazing games with no multiplayer. All with loads of replay value. Hell i still play the original next generation grand theft autos, and excluding that 'multiplayer' that SA had, they're all still amazing games i come back to now. Games don't need multiplayer for replay value, they need a story that will make you want to play over and over.

The biggest issue L.A. Noire had was it was the most boring game ever. Pick up a piece of paper, examine it, tell a man about paper you found, repeat for 40 other cases. There's no replay value because it's an entire game built on repeating yourself, and the story was sub par.

Way to bring up something said 3 weeks ago!

And yeah, that's the INDUSTRY view, not my view, notice that most of the games listed above are RPG's, which many developers see as its own area, for Action based games though, majority of gamers are fickle, so even though you guys might not give a crap about Multiplayer, there's a huge majority who see games as "Well if it's no Multiplayer, then it's a rent!" and chances are, they won't be the type who'll play Skyrim or Mass Effect, they'll be the type who play Call of Duty and Fifa, the disposable market where a massive amount of money comes from.

I would have liked Skyrim to have had 2 player co-op. There is no reason why it isn't there. Imagine that player 1 is a nord and player 2 is dark elf and they disagree when it comes to stormcloaks vs imperials. They could split up and join their respective factions and attack and defend their bases until their was a victor like in the actual game. Where is that game? Thats a multiplayer Bethesda game that I want to play.

Yeah.

Player 1 is a regular lvl 30 guy with Daedric Armour.

Player 2 is either Nite or TGF who is lvl 36 but spent most of his time getting Enchantment / Smithing / Alchemy to godlike levels. He can hit 400 damage and the game's programming is incapable of calculating damage through his defense bonus. Also, can summon dual dremora lords for support, good luck.

That's probably one of the main problems with that, but it would be fucking sweet. As long as it's tacked on after release, no need to spend more time on polishing code when you can improve the singleplayer.

Perhaps we could give that Alpha version of Skyrim MP a try.
